Arum is boarding a flight to the Philippines to meet with Pacquiao on Sunday to discuss the Filipino congressman's next bout.

Earlier this week, Arum said he wasn't planning on Mayweather being available for a late-spring bout, and was going to discuss possible fights against Timothy Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Lamont Peterson or Miguel Cotto with Pacquiao.

Now the discussion has changed.

"May 5 is out for us, it can't happen, because we want to explore the idea of getting a [temporary] stadium/arena up on the streets of Las Vegas that can seat 40,000," Arum said. "The end of May is a possibility."

Arum said he's intent to explore the idea of the larger outdoor venue because "having the fight in a 40,000-seat arena rather than a 16,000-seat arena seems like a no-brainer."

Additionally, Arum said Pacquiao is still healing from a deep cut over one of his eyes that he sustained in the Marquez fight.

I definitely don't believe mikey who ran from top rank when they tried to make the Gamboa fight and has ran from every real challenge since he doesn't have a promoter anymore. He just wants the easiest fights possible, hed never fight Loma

Bob Arum has been treated like a leper on here by literally everyone, but now that people are butthurt and want to use his garbage quotes to rag on Garcia, now he is a beacon of truth and a prodigy of virtue.

Am actually shocked that people who I feel knows and understand the history of boxing/Bob Arum actually think he would be willing to make this fight. Looking at Arum history from De La Hoya to Mayweather to Cotto after they left him!

Looking at others like Bradley that stayed with him and never fought anyone at 147 who isn’t tied to Arum. I just had to laugh at those posters.

mikey better not be another lara. . i remember lara constantly yapping about ggg but never doing anything to make it happen. i hope arum call his bluff. hopefully mikey doesnt ask for $10 million or some wild sht like that. loma is on cloud nine and arum truly believes in his skills i don't see why he would feel threatened by garcia.

and mikey telling loma to fight tank davis first lol.. he must not know tank is hiding under floyds bed he dont want that work.
