Pretty ballsy undertaking by Sergey Lipinets for a first defense of a belt he just won.

Hope he is ready and getting paid really well.

      Buddy's Blueprint:

Waits for first exchange of Jab's.....

Jump in ring, waiving arms frantically yelling; we're stoppin it baby, we're stoppin it!

          lol wtf?

Wasnt 2018 supposed to be the year MIkey finally stepped up his level? Its been almost 5 years since he fought somewhat worthy opponents and now he gets a LW strap from teh divisions worst champ and a 140 strap from that divisions worse.

Whys he not fighting Linares? Easter? Loma? Indongo?

That’s a great story Tex. First fight I saw live was Eubank vs Benn I , same sentiment, the sport stuck with me ever since

Some reason I feel Buddy has 2nd or 3rd tier fighters and sadly it makes him look like a bad trainer when his fighters get in with top class ones. That being said, to even get someone to win a World title is an achievement

This is either going to be a massive mis-match (on paper it should be) or Lipinets is going to hit the peak of the sport in one fight, let’s face it we don’t really know how good he is yet, technically he looks a bit like a mini Golovkin, but who knows what he’s got at the top flight. Knowing how well TMT scout opponents for their best guys, I’d be more inclined to say it’s a mismatch

I don't know if McGirt is a good trainer or not but his fighter's seem to always come up short. Buddy might be ready but I don't know if his fighter will be ready.
