Finally Wilder fights a warm body...and it's taken 40 fights...obviously he should win this but he'd better look good again because it's only a small step up.

Wilder SHOULD beat him. Ortiz is 38 going on 50. Looks like a middle-aged chain-smoking Uber driver. Looked rather slow and lethargic in recent fights. For the Loma haters, Ortiz gives up 3" in height and at least 6+ years in age, let's see if the Loma haters who criticized the size/age difference between Rigo, will celebrate Deontay's win with as much vigor.

Sometimes, it hurts.
I joined this site because I like boxing, and it is hard to find people to talk this sport. It is having a nice resurgence, but still hard. I want to talk boxing and match-ups, not all this name calling crap.
Why are so many people wrapping their self worth into talking down... Or up...Wilder? No matter what he does, people kick him- somehow it is his fault to this day Ortiz and Povetkin got caught cheating and fights got cancelled. If he fights and beats them both in 2018, Ortiz will be too old (Wilder's plan all along to some) and Povetkin will be too... I don't know, Russian? People will find a reason.
And some on here refuse to see him as a fairly flawed fighter. He is over aggressive and leaves defense behind. He has a wide stance which exposes him to unnecessary jabs and counters. He is so freakishly athletic and powerful he makes up for it, but Ortiz can absolutely beat him, and Joshua should absolutely be considered a favorite when they fight.
I like talking trash. But some of you are just nuts.
