Roy would have schooled him again if they had fought in 2002.Originally posted by MR. Vhe was thinking what we already know; that Bernard if given the second chance would have demolished Roy. but its all good , cuz tarver and glen destroyed JOnes Jr and B-hop crushed both of those opponents. irony is a ***** isnt it MR. roy jones?

exactly. How can you blame Roy? He's the champ, face of boxing, and P4P on top. Plus he BEAT hopkins the last time they fought. The offer was on the table, and hopkins didn't take it. Roy would've worked him.Originally posted by PBF34If Bernard was so confident he would have taken the split to fight a guy he had already lost to again.Comment

Well said. Hopkins is an all time great and so is Roy. Hops got to come up in weight and had extra energy as a result, just . as I predicted. Now Tarver knows what it's like to come down after bulking up, even though Tarver wasn't solid muscle like Roy was as a 200+ pounder.Originally posted by PBF34You seriously have an adgenda agaisnt Roy, and i dont know why.
Roy beat Bernard fair and square, and was the figher of the decade in the 90's. Hes an all time great. Get over it.
Hopkins was marvelous tonight, but, as always, styles make fights. Roy would have beat Hops again anytime from 1994-2003.Comment

First of all Jones barely beat the green Hopkins, it was a close fight which I had Jones winning 7 rounds. Hopkins def landed the more effective punches in that fight.Originally posted by fabzmmexactly. How can you blame Roy? He's the champ, face of boxing, and P4P on top. Hopkins was not a star at that time, it was not a big fight, the older Hopkins is a much better & a smarter fighter then the one that fought Jones.
The older Hopkins would've knocked Jones out, that's why Jones ducked him.Comment

60/40 for the middleweight champ who defended his title for the record of 15th straight time.Originally posted by PBF34Right

Hopkins was asking for 50/50 which what should've been, plain & simple Jones didn't want to fight Hopkins again.

How did Roy duck a fighter he already beat down?
