Roy would have schooled him again if they had fought in 2002.

If Bernard was so confident he would have taken the split to fight a guy he had already lost to again.

exactly. How can you blame Roy? He's the champ, face of boxing, and P4P on top. Plus he BEAT hopkins the last time they fought. The offer was on the table, and hopkins didn't take it. Roy would've worked him.

Well said. Hopkins is an all time great and so is Roy. Hops got to come up in weight and had extra energy as a result, just . as I predicted. Now Tarver knows what it's like to come down after bulking up, even though Tarver wasn't solid muscle like Roy was as a 200+ pounder.

Hopkins was marvelous tonight, but, as always, styles make fights. Roy would have beat Hops again anytime from 1994-2003.

He was probably thinking that styles make fights and just because Hopkins beat Tarver doesnt mean he could beat Jones.

First of all Jones barely beat the green Hopkins, it was a close fight which I had Jones winning 7 rounds. Hopkins def landed the more effective punches in that fight.

Hopkins was not a star at that time, it was not a big fight, the older Hopkins is a much better & a smarter fighter then the one that fought Jones.

The older Hopkins would've knocked Jones out, that's why Jones ducked him.

                  Right

60/40 he of kicked his ass.
It was Bernard who backed out, not Roy.

60/40 for the middleweight champ who defended his title for the record of 15th straight time. Hopkins was asking for 50/50 which what should've been, plain & simple Jones didn't want to fight Hopkins again.

Bull****. Jones ducked him. How did Roy duck a fighter he already beat down?
