If you name those two guys he is pretty much confident of himself and to me he don't look like a guy that wants to cash outComment

In fact any boxer can call any other boxer out. Otherwise they had choosen the wrong profession. You said yourself, if Saunders rates himself as the best in the MW division, then he should fight the best available guy. So ...Comment

Danny Jacobs is backed up by Haymon, Hearn, and HBO, that's money on top of money on top of money. WBO champ vs DJ who almost beat GGG, the two biggest names at 160 outside of GGGCanelo. That's a big deal and a big event for Barclays Center or in UK. No doubt BJS gets offered a bigger payday than the Lemieux fight. The winner is almost guaranteed a shot at GGG/Canelo winner. A true 50/50 fight.
There are a million reasons why this fight makes perfect sense for all parties involved, especially the fans.
But it all comes down to if BJS wants to let his nuts hang and dare to be great. Does he welcome a big challenge and a decent payday with DJ or does he play it safe and wait to cash out his belt with GGG/Canelo winner?
Another thing to keep in mind is that a GGG fight probably doesn't bring in much more $$$ than the Jacobs fight, so if BJS does pass on Jacobs he better hope that Canelo wins the GGG rematch.
Plus another thing to keep in mind is that GGG/Canelo rematch isn't finalized yet. Who knows what's going on in the background negotiations. BJS/Warren if they are smart should be pushing hard to steal Canelo away from GGG for May 5th. Let's see what Delahoya has to say in the next few days regarding May 5th 2018.Last edited by jinx_htx; 12-19-2017, 04:08 AM.Comment

Both are great fighters, but Saunders IMO is a shade better in that he has a better chin and he is just a little better boxer than Jacobs. But this would be a great fight for the fans. Jacobs people better get ready to travel to England though. Unlikely Saunders would cave to their demands to fight in NYC. Especially after Saunders having just traveled, and having soundly beaten his opponent, no matter how limited Lemieux is. But this would definitely be a solid fight for the fans.Comment

I don’t see Saunders fighting Jacobs. Danny doesn’t bring any money to the table and couldn’t sell tickets to tha last fight he had, even though the loss to GGG raised his profile a lot. Danny got his biggest payday against GGG in a sold out MSG, but he can’t generate that revenue in a fight with Saunders. BJS just did his mandatory, no point in fighting Jacobs when he can make more money with GGG or CaneloComment
