I thought Furys win was better but AJs was way more entertaining and a much, much better fight which really eats at Fury. That Manchester rematch that never happened was small and sold few tickets in comparison. Fury's performance was one for the hardcore.
Billy Jo has some of the similar problems in that Lemieux was ideal for him. BJ v Jacobs would be a horrible fight to watch. The one thing the commentators got wrong last night was they kept waiting for Lem. to one punch him but BJS took the power out of him round by round and even if he had landed hes tough and got heart .. what he doesn't have is one punch power that some of his rivals have.
He may not be very likable but he's honest and that was a good showing.
Absolutely. But, Fury put on no master, or class. He landed like 8 punches a round. A "master" would have been able to land some punches on a guy who was barely throwing back.
I give AJ respect for beating a Vlad who had the "wake up call" and was ready to engage. Still no where near a prime Wlad, but a better version that what Fury fought, mentally at least.
I say that as someone who has watched Fury since his 1st Chisora fight and thinks AJ is overrated. It's ok to say Fury is better, he may be. But that Wlad argument is a swing and a miss.Comment

Because Lemieux couldn't hit Saunders don't mean he can't be hit. Smart money knew Lemieux had a punchers chance but a good boxer makes him look foolish.
It was 3 years ago, but an amateurish Chris Eubank was finding Saunders pretty easy to hit.Comment

Billy is a great boxer and lemieux was going to strugle but Saunders was in complete control is what makes this so impressive. Lemieux looked out of place with is a credit to Billy.
Can Billy do this again against a better boxer who would cut the ring better and know how to trap him?Comment

Although I like Fury, I must say Red is right here!Absolutely. But, Fury put on no master, or class. He landed like 8 punches a round. A "master" would have been able to land some punches on a guy who was barely throwing back.

The K that fought AJ I am positive would have killed Fury and anyone else in the HW except for AJ that particular night.Comment
