Nah, this is different and I think everyone feels the same. Oscar will go down as a great fighter but not a All Time Great. Even Manny Steward said it. He never had a dominant win over a good fighter except for a shot Vargas. He lost to Tito, Hopkins, Shane twice, alot of people think he lost to Sturm, Sweet Pea, and Quartay.

He needs this Floyd win. How many people have ever retired by saying that just beat the Pound for Pound best fighter in the world? If he doesnt do that then alot of people will think of him as more of a Hollywood guy who was more great in the Box Office then in the ring.

He also came along at a great time and beat aging greats like Chaves. He needs this win to secure his legacy.

lol, you mean give PBF 50/50 split? i don't care if hes the best fighter in the world, there's no way in hell DLH will give him that. the most will be 65/35. DLH could fight a bum on a street and he will still produce close to a million ppv buys. PBF's best ppv buys were 350,000 with Gatti and Zab and Zab vs PBF was a "mega super" fight. there is no way that PBF will make more than $7 mil fighting other fighters. even with 65/35, he will be making at least $13 mil.

so dlt yourbasicly saying that floyd should pull out the fight if oscar does what floyd does to everybody and insists on a very big split
floyd should realise he will never be the draw against oscar and count himself very lucky if he gets 40%

Dude, get real. Everyone says this fight could break records. Floyd is still the #1 fighter in the world, his dad trains Oscar, and Oscar still needs Floyd to secure his legacy. Floyd just got offered 8 mil for Margarito and everyone says that he should get atleast 20mil for Oscar, so if he's being offered 13 then Floyd will piss on that.

No ones saying he should get 50/50 but 65/35 is crazy

40 isnt that bad but 45 seems more reasonable. I think Floyd will settle for somewhere in the middles. Anything less then 40 is a joke.

I just dont think people understand how big Floyd's role is in this. Oscar vs Tito, Winky, Vargas, or whoever, would be a joke compared to the money Oscar can make vs Floyd with all the subplots and none of those fights do anything for Oscar's legacy. He needs Floyd more then people think or he will retire with a less then stellar resume, be seen as a underachiever, the only good fighter who never had a dominant win over another good fighter, and will be seen as more of a Hollywood guy then a great fighter

Guys, Floyd paid 750,000 to get out of his contract. So you guys are going to tell me that Floyd should accept the Oscar fight for 13mil when he just turned down the Margarito fight for nearly 9 mil when you include the payout? He would be a idiot to accept that with all the money this fight will make.

Then the fight will probally be at 154 where Floyd is at a major disadvantage. Floyd is not Oscar but he's not starving either. He can make that up in a fight and a half and keep on moving. Add to that Floyd will still have alot of fights left, so not only will Oscar lose out on this fight but he will defiantly lose out on the chance to promote the #1 fighter in the game and you know Floyd only has all big fights left.

Floyd would be dumb to accept chump change. Like I said, its no coincedence that Tito & Winky both laughed at Oscar's offer and moved on quickly. He insults certain guys and its not worth it for them in the long run to take the fight. Floyd can stay at 147 right now and fight Margarito, Cotto, Hatton, Castillo, Chico, and whoever he wants. It will be a setback but it wont kill him at all
