Oscar Trying to be Pimp Guys Again?

I knew this **** was going to happened because Oscar always does it. Everywhere you read, you hear that this fight could break the PPV record and at the least it will be one of the biggest of All Time but I bet Oscar is trying to **** Floyd just for the simple fact that he knows he's Oscar.

If I was Floyd and I think Im being chumped then I wouldnt take it. You can still get 8 for Margarito and have other big fights after that. Floyd is definatly not Oscar but Floyd also has a big name now and is one of the top money makers out there, so it will be a big hit but he'll be able to recover from it. I still think they get it done but it could get ugly.

The good thing is that this will make for a better fight because everything you read is about how buddy buddy Floyd & Oscar seem to be getting and Floyd has been showing Oscar alot of respect and some think they might team up together after the fight or Floyd might sign with Oscar.

If it starts getting ugly then this fight will be the biggest money fight in history because Floyd will start dissing him after they sign the contract and he probally will be upset that he had to take shorter money then he wanted. Then his father will be instagating **** and littile Floyd will start to get upset and talk really bad about his father & Oscar. Then inturn Oscar will get upset and want to kill him like he did Vargas & Mayorga and the whole time the public will be eating it up.

Earlier in the day, promoter Oscar De La Hoya cancelled a planned press conference to announce his next fight. However "The Golden Boy" and his preferred opponent Floyd Mayweather Jr. are said to be so far apart in negotiations that any announcement would have been premature

Oscar is definitely going to want to make the lionshare of the money. He has gotten it for all of his big paydays. He has more pull in this situation because he has hit the 1,000,000 PPV buys mark with both Tito and Bernard and he got a 75/25 split with Bernard. That was just based of the fact that it was Bernard’s biggest payday. So you know that he's going look at the fight with Mayweather the same way since Mayweather hasn’t topped no more than 350,000 PPV buys so I wouldn’t be surprised if Oscar wants a 70/30 or 65/35 split. Because in his eyes that would heavily outweigh Mayweathers biggest payday. Their egos are going to determine how long this takes since they have always received a bigger cut than their opponents have. At best it'll be 60/40 for Oscar. Even though Mayweather probably wants 50/50 or 55/45 but Oscar knows he doesn't have the buying power to demand that.

Its like Floyd said about Gatti. He's not fighting himself. Gatti sells well but when he went against Floyd he sold out the Arena in a matter of hours and had by far his highest amount of sells and was on PPV. Floyd also did good numbers with Zab.

Im no fool, Oscar is still the man but Floyd's name is getting bigger. Oscar can make big money with anyone but he cant make record setting money with anyone but Floyd. The public knows who he is now and most of all the public recognizes him as the #1 fighter in the world. Oscar doesnt need the money but he would be taking a good loss in the pocket also fighting anyone else

Well mostly every expert said that they both should easily make over 20 mil for this but I could see Oscar offering Floyd 13 and he's not going to take that.

Floyd is no dummy so I doubt he wants 50/50 with Oscar or even 55/45 but I do think 60/40 is reasonable and maybe even 55/45. Again, this fight can break records and Oscar isnt doing that on his own. Floyd is the guy who is the #1 fighter in the game and that is going to sell tickets. Floyd is the guy who's dad trains Oscar. Floyd is the only guy out there that can seal Oscar's legacy. Not even a win over a great like Winky would do that for him.

Also you get the sense that Oscar probally wants to promote him so Floyd is not going to give Oscar everything. If Oscar pimps him on the money then you know he's not going to sign anything to let Oscar promote him

True, Im not saying that Floyd should get a even split and I dont think Floyd is that dumb either but I dont think he should be getting chump change either.

Tito turned down a Oscar fight last time & Winky turned it down. They both couldve made big money but they both knew it still wasnt nearly as much as they shouldve made and no one's going to be pimped like that. If the fighters dont take a stand then Oscar can do it all day. Its good that alot of these guys are turning him down and if they lose out then its fine but atleast they have there pride. I still think Oscar wants and needs this fight a littile also.

Oscar is still a greedy bastard and this fight is too big and has too many great subplots even for a rich man like him to turn down. This fight also secures his legacy and no other fight can do that. Do you want to just retire rich or have a legacy with it? Floyd does hold some cards in that regard
