Comments Thread For: Billy Joe Saunders Makes Statement, Easily Dominates David Lemieux

But just early on focus on making Saunders less mobile. He did so little right that I don't know how he expected to win. And not knowing how to cut off the ring? What was he working on in training??? Did he even know who he was fighting?

Tonight just reenforced what we saw against Golovkin , Lemieux isn't elite. To beat him though I think puts you at another level, top echelon fighter.

Oh well. You're 100% right. He did indeed look inept. The biggest thing I guess was not being able to cut off the ring. That would have forced much more infighting, which he needed imho.

BJS is one of the biggest pricks in boxing but he does have some slick southpaw movement and a good 1-2. He completely dominated although Lemieux may have injured his left arm or shoulder early in the fight because he hardly threw any left hooks the whole fight. Not making excuses for him because I always thought BJS was the favourite but he didn’t throw that left very much. BJS will be a tough out for GGG and Canelo particularly the way Canelo gasses in the late rounds.
