There is indeed a link between genes and indian lack of athleticism, cardiovascular health, adiposity, insulin resistance and diabetes. Studies have concluded the same thing over and over.
1. indians have low lean muscle mass and skeletal mass. What does this entail? Skeletal mass in essential for movement and physical function, the less skeletal mass you have the less function or ability and strength.
2. indians have low cardio vascular and lung capacity. Obviously the less oxygen you get the less efficient your body will work, making indians physically less fit.
3. Indians are predisposed to have high body fat and low lean muscle mass which makes them prone to diabetes
4. indians have the weakest grip strength in the world

A scientific approach would look entirely different. You'd have to gain a massive sample size of DNA and then look how those different genes react and how they could cause
1) low or high muscle mass and skeletal mass
2) low cardio vascular and lung capacity
3) high body fat and low lean muscle mass
4) grip strength
or how the DNA can alter achieving high or low values in either of those categories. IN A LAB, chemical reactions, not scales and calipers.
Look up correlation vs causation.
Take two black twins, let one go to the gym twice a week and feed absolute trash with no exercise to the other one for a year, are they gonna look the same? It doesn't take a scientist to conclude that higher lean body mass equates to more strength and power. Women on average have less lean muscle mass than men too hence why they are weakerComment

Look at Ukraine - after the Klitschko's, all of a sudden we are getting lots more Ukrainians.
India doesn't have a boxing culture. Imagine if only ten million of them started training, sure a few of them make it big and inspire more Indians to box - increases the talent pool hundredfold. It's why some sports are dominated by some countries and some not at all.
A country where 50 million people swim from a young age is going to produce more great swimmers than a country where only 100 people swim.Comment

You would have a point if indians were genetically the same as ukrainians but they are not and don't have the same genetic potential.
There is no denying that genes play an imperative role in athleticism, coordination and strength. Why is 74.4% of the NBA black or 68.7% of the NFL black? Why is it that west African descent athletes dominate in the 100 meter sprint? Surely this cannot be accounted for solely by nutrition or training. All other races in the US have access to the same training facilities and nutrition as american blacks yet blacks have the natural advantage of have more fast twitch muscles and explosiveness.
Also here in New Zealand Samoans and polynesians tend to be genetically huge and strong. Quote from 60 mins documentary
"It is estimated that a boy born to Samoan parents is 56 times more likely to get into the NFL than any other kid in America"

So are the samoans/polynesians the only children training harder then other boys and have better nutrition or is it their genetics that give them this advantage?Comment
