Comments Thread For: Lemieux to Saunders: Will Be Blood, Big Punches Saturday Night

David Lemieux is more than confident he'll become not only the first professional opponent to beat Billy Joe Saunders, but that he'll knock out the WBO middleweight champion. Lemieux challenged Saunders during their final press conference Thursday at the Laval Sheraton to back up all of the trash the brash British champion has talked during the buildup toward their fight Saturday night in Laval, Quebec. They'll meet in a 12-round, 160-pound championship match at Place Bell, a new arena near Lemieux's hometown of Montreal (HBO; 9:40 p.m. ET).

I want Lemmy to smash saunders I really do but I just have that awful feeling that if he does, he's getting fed to canelo. Thus pushing back the ggg rematch to September if that.

Lemieux wins on decision at home and it'll be close. Saunders outboxes him all day. David looked drained and couldn't even make the weight last time out. He's ****ing limited as ****..

You don't have to worry, Saunders will win every round against B level Lemioux.

He's not beating Saunders in his hometown. From the first round you will see the difference in skill.

Lemioux is a puncher, nothing more, but you can't hit a mover like Saunders, especially not a southpaw.

Lemmie is just a good opponent who will lose well and put up a good fight for 7-8 rounds before faltering.

He won't put up a good fight though. Lemioux is game, until he has no success.

He won't land anything on Saunders, if he close distance he will be turned or tied up, plus the counters and the jab.

This will be GGG level mismatch, trust me.

But no one knows if BJ Saunders is actually any good or not. Lemmie will test the brash Brit but good.
