Rigo should have dove out the ring like Hopkins did.

Fake an injury is how B-Hops quits.

Both of them are old anyway

Didn't Hopkins also fake an injury in the Dawson fight to get out of the fight, and he did.

So Hopkins in my opinion has quit 3 times and he never quit against a p4p fighter either.

Thats what I was thinking reading this. Everything Hops says is right here but he forgets to mention his endless spoiling tactics he used to get by in his old age that are very similiar to Rigos and the multiple times he quit or faked injuries in fights.

As a fighter ages, the only way to close the gap versus a top-quality opponent is to spoil. Sometimes even that isn’t enough. It was just painful to watch with Rigo. A past-prime athlete cannot be expected to match an equally talented but much younger adversary. Hopkins was hard to watch, but he was also a freak of nature.

But they are capable of making an exciting fight, which this hopefully would be!

first off, you should know better than to listen to shadow because I never picked ggg to ko Canelo. I actually told you that I picked ggg to win", thought it'd go the distance but was unsure how the judges would score it because they tend to favor Canelo. I know boxong and know Canelo has a chin a decent defense and also know ggg has been slowing down, so I wouldn't have picked a ko. I've tagged shadow in previous posts proving that I told him this, prior to the fight but his dumb ass has selective memory. As far as santa cruz, we all know rigo wanted the fight, right? There are articles of santa cruz making excuses by saying the fight wouldn't be interesting and his former promoter saying him and his team didn't want the fight. That's a bit more than just speculation. He didn't really want the fight. Have you heard him ever say he wanted to fight rigo? Nope. But have you heard rigo say he wanted to fight santa cruz? Yep!
I don't understand why it's so hard to acknowledge that he didn't want the fight. Maybe he felt like rigos style was all wrong for him, maybe he figured a fight with mares would be more exciting and less difficult. Boxers do it all the time, but at the end of the day, regardless of the reason, is it not considered one fighter avoiding another??
