He's too extra. ESPN production is terrible but this is a step in the right direction. Now they need to get rid of SAS.

Ahh...Teddy went to the well too many times.

Too many tirades got him the boot, I could see this happening. The last few times he went off about bad judging or shaky performance I felt he was way over the top, to the point where I got the feeling he was just putting on a show, and really didn't feel so passionately about the issue. Just being a PrimaDonna.

HBO, Showtime, somebody should pick him up and then he'll be back to foaming at the mouth and spitting all over the mic again.

I agree with those saying he knows boxing, loves boxing, is a solid guy, and tells it like it is.

As a commentator he is horrendously tone def, though. Every broadcast is filled with him yelling incessantly and beating dead horse after dead horse. Very few people want to hear that.

Teddy was pushed aside for his tension with Kreigel. Problem is Mark Kriegel sucks ass. He is a typical network yes-man. He is the Jon Gruden of boxing....everyone is great-- no real talk, no criticism. ESPN is bleeding money and it is decisions like this that are hurting them.

Its not about how good, bad, boring, dull Kriegel is, Teddy didn't have to attack the guy on national television during the telecast. All Kriegal asked is that Teddy give the opponent credit for not getting KO'd like the previous 8 opponents.

Teddy is an all time great, but age is catching up to him. Said the same thing about Larry Merchant. You can’t be on a sporting even spitting, crying and having an emotional breakdowns. ESPN just needs better commentators. Some insecure people love to complain about PBC but they make th whole lot on ESPN look amateurish. Time to invest in boxing ESPN and btw...get that Top Rank shill Rafael out of there while you are at it.

I think there was more to this than what is on the surface. I think Teddy knew Kriegel was put in there to replace him. Teddy may sound a little punchy but he's not ******.

People are overlooking WHY he was fired .

Its his style of calling fights to the point he makes everyone feel uncomfortable if they dont agree around him by attacking or shooting down any other possible opinion .

He will then discredit judges , refs, time keeper etc ...and make the whole broadcast seem incompetant with lashing out tantrums . Im almost sure none of the ones who commentated with him was looking forward to it and so on probably had a say in this ...... lol

I still hope to see crazy Teddy in the front row there screaming his head off calling the fight from ringside .....
