It was Lomas second pro fight . Amatuer experience is great too have but in the end you need the pro experience . Had this fight taken place 3 fights later it wouldn't have even been a close fight . Lomas goal was focused on breaking a record of the least fights to get a title and not 100% on the vastly experienced Salido who i think weighed close to 150 didnt he ?

Other intangibles like bad reffing etc ,also come into play .

Big, strong, rough veteran against a guy who fights with an amatuer style.

Salido threw a lot punches. He hit Lomachenko everywhere but especially in the body. The only experience factor I saw (or lack of) was Lomachenko was waiting for openings rather than just attacking like he does now. Every time he attacked, Salido had two or three counters waiting for him. The way the fight played out I think Salido would still have a chance to beat Lomachenko (even with a recent loss). Roman IS Salido but younger and fresher so he might able to out hustle him. Lomachenko's pitty pat punches won't keep a very determined fighter like Salido or even Roman off him.

Loma didn't know how to react to Salido's tactics. He had a hard, wily veteran coming in heavy and smashing his balls and throwing a few headbutts with no input from the ref.

Welcome to the pros. It was a good thing to happen to him. Nothing to be ashamed of. He obviously learned from it.

inside rough housing isn't the eastern euro style everything is usually from the outside and inside fighting is broken up before it can start. loma didn't have answers for that, he almost won but he was getting destroyed to the body at will. id say about 4 of the low blows were worth mentioning, so I wouldn't blame the low blows. salido was the better man that night, before sat it was the low blows and the weight now nobody is bringing up the weight. lol

              And possibly DQ'd

Going from 4 round amateur rounds to a 12 round title fight against a rugged/dirty veteran is a very tough task.

There really is no other explanation other than Loma's lack of pro exp.

You cannot ignore the weight in that fight. Not that the 2lbs Salido missed in the weigh in matters. But the fact that one tried to make weight and the other did not. It could have been physically tiring process prior to the bout.

If Loma has the experience in that fight, he could have retaliated for those low blows. Loma just ignored the low blows in that fight so the ****** ref ignored it also.

The weight was a factor but it was moreso the cheating.

Salido cheated enough to be DQ'd and I'm a Salido fan. It wasn't a proper loss for Lomachenko. Had the ref done his job it was a clear win for Lomachenko. Subtract the low blows though and Salido still gives Loma a tough fight.
