One of the top 3 Mexican fighters of all time with Chavez and Sanchez being the other two. The best technical boxer I have ever seen, he just did everything perfect and could fight in any style.

Went undeafeted 51 wins 0 losses, went 25-0-1 in World Title fights over a 10 year reign and two divisions. Captured the WBC and WBA Strawweight titles and the IBF Flyweight titles.

The biggest knock on Lopez is that he never fought Carbajal or Gonzales, but he did have a fight lined up with Gonzales and Gonzales lost to Saman Sorjaturong one of the greatest Thai fighters of all time. Lopez blew Sorjaturong out in two rounds earlier in there careers.

Lopez also beat Rosendo Alvares who went on to establish himself as agreat little guy in his own right. Im a huge Carbajal fan and while Carbajal was the bigger name he was not in Alvarez class in my opnion.

The best little guy of the modern era.

The best pure boxer I have ever seen

Some people knock him saying he ducked "Too Sharp". BS if you ask me. One of the best all around skill sets I've ever seen. Arguably the greatest Mexican fighter of all time.

Mark Johnson was always two weight divisions above. Johnson was also to blame for not getting big fights he was always in trouble with the law and ****ing his own stuff up.

I agree w/ y'all of how good "Finito" was, but "Too Sharp" would've beaten him anyway! Also it's hard to believe Lopez didn't duck Johnson 'cause Too Sharp called him out every chance he got and there was never anything from the Lopez camp.

That doesn't mean a damn thing to me, what a fighter says. Just becuase Johnson said he wanted it doesn't make it true. Hell Ricky Hatton keeps saying he wants to come over here and fight and everyone knows its bull****.

To bad Mark Johnson couldn't stay off the ******* or stop smacking his wife around long enough to make any big fights happen.

ahh el Finito is one of those fighters that rarely lives up to his nickname.

                "Finito".

Lopez was that type of fellow who was too good for his own good! Twas only when he went up in weight (not because he couldn't make weight but because he wanted bigger bucks) that he had two close fights worthy of the label. He was so dominant at straw that he disposed of opponents with such boring regularity! And the way in which he went about his business of dismantling opponents was nearly like watching a brain surgeon operate!!!

Yes, at straw and at his peak, it was like we already knew the result even before his opponent's name was announced!!!
