Brook's quit was far more forgivable that Rigo and Walters quitting. If the bone in his face was broken it could be made much worse if he continues to get hit on that eye. The pain must also have been very bad. I don't believe Rigo broke his hand. He just wanted an excuse to get out of that ring. I wouldn't call it quitting when he was a few more blows away from sustaining life-changing injuries. After the Gennady Golovkin fight, they had to remove his eyeball from his head during operation. He was near blind for a period of time after. Sustaining almost identical injuries two fights in a row is terrible luck. People talk about "bionic eye sockets" etc, but it will cause added pressure on other points of the skull.
