DOes rigo get credit for accepting the fight?

In a boxing world where matchmaking between super powers can seem nearly impossible, should rigo get credit for accepting the bout?

It takes years sometimes for these powers to meet, and negotiate something they all parties agree on.

Yes he does........but he loses credit for taking on a fight with such an age & size disparity. Bad business decision IMO.

Taking into account that he accepted this fight out of (financial) desperation and the way he fought it...
And he did not just accepted the fight, he actually asked for it. So it's kind of desperation + shortsightedness (underestimating the opponent).
Considering all this, I would rather say no...

I'm sorry but i cant respect his lack off effect the guy didn't try. loma didn't hit him with anything that made you feel like he was in danger. he showed up for the check.

No he doesn't. It's clear now that he done it for the money.

He gets credit for taking the fight in the first place. But loses A LOT of credit for showing little ambition during the contest and then blatantly QUITTING as soon as he realised he couldn’t win.

Credit for giving in to all the negotiations to make the fight happen but a major discredit for the effort he put in the fight. Maybe it was the "bruised hand" & the weight on his body was to much & too fast for him to put on cuz I noticed he had no bounce in his legs. He just stood there, ducked, stayed ducked looking at loma & the ref & just grabbing alot. At the weigh-in he was 128 three pounds heavier than he ever weighed in his career then on fight night he came in at 130! Bad game plan! While loma came in at 137.

I give him some credit, but it seemed like a money grab from Rigo and nothing more...
But considering that back in 2015, Rigo could have fought Loma at 126 for 750K and refused, karma bit him.
