Loma fights DIRTY, and that's ok with me.

All the little darling that couldn't bear the sight of evil Andre Andre Ward are now embracing Loma with open arms. Amusingly, Loma used forearms, repeated blows to the back of the head, headbut, held the smaller man's head down with his forearm and pushed his bodyweight on top of him (dirty as ***), etc.

This is all gritty ("dirty" as you guys like to call it) stuff. Before you excuse him and say it was just in response to Rigo, this was all rehearsed. You saw him discussing it with the ref. He planned to get gritty. And, that's ok. I like it. He's showing some balls. Had he shown this in the Salido fight he wouldn't have lost.

Accept it guys. It's part of the game. And, it's part of Loma's game now.
    More power to him.

Rigo was bending way below his waist, I mean Rigo head was almost to his knee lol. Not Lomas fault.

Also if guys bend down that way a smart fighter will lean on them to make them use energy. Coaches will say that too.

Nothing in Loma's game is dirty. I like that he doesnt let guys grab him and he ragdolls em lol

Never been against dirty tactics, but I've noticed he has a hell of a mean streak inside the ring too. Not showboating but things like staring at Walters after figuring him out then waving goodbye to him, screaming to Rigondeaux "You're mine" in the end of second round and punching him after the bell in 4th just to piss Rigo off. He loves mindfucking them

          Agreed.

I think showboating a guy who you're supposed to beat is a pretty ***** thing to do but the mean streak, I like. Him getting rough, I'm down with.

This is pro BOXING. If I was interested in sanitary combat I'd watch the amateurs. I'm glad Loma has shaken off that amateur system mentality. He fought kids for way too long. He's a pro now and he's fighting for the fans. I think he's really grown into the role.

If he fights Garcia, he's going to have to tap into that mean streak and get rough because Mikey is a big, strong dude that knows the science.

There was very little wrong with the way Andre Ward fought throughout his career. People conveniently forget the Froch performance, the Abraham performance, and so on.

Agree with everything apart from criticising Loma for the Salido fight. I think it was a lack of pro experience more than anything, they tried to break the record, it backfired. I don't think it was the right move, but he might be better for the experience in the long run.

But he could have been DQ'D after hitting Rigo after the bell, what if Rigo faked a knockout??

lol comparing loma and ward in regards to dirtiness is like comparing Oliver Mccall and amir khan in terms of their chin.

Then he would have looked like Hopkins, feigning an injury. I think people would have known.

I personally dont like the dirty stuff, never have. I will say though if you are getting done dirty get dirty back until the ref handles it. I was a little surprised the ref allowed Loma to hammer fist Rigo and just kind of gave him a flippant warning. I think the best way to put an end to someone hitting you low is to return the favor x2 as an example, I dont however think it should be part of any fighters tactic going in to a fight. The punch after the bell was retaliation but uncalled for in my opinion and could have ended badly for Loma.
