    Lomachenko Beats the Spoilers

The main thing I noticed from Lomachenko last night was his ability to take away the spoiling tactics from Rigondeux.

Rigos game plan was to hold at close quarter to to Loma from working.

Loma expected this and everytime Rigo held he made it very clear to the ref what he was doing and that he was trying to fight.

He expended much more energy but by forcefully pulling his arms away from the clinch exposed Rigos cheating and gave Rigo two choices, get told off by the ref or let his hands go and get hit by Loma.

Rigo also tried to duck bellow the belt line another legal move. Loma kept throwing and hit him on the back of the head if necessary. One illegal move deserves another.

Fighters such as Mayweather and Whitaker who used these illegal maneuvers would not have much success against Loma.

It shows how much he has learned and now preps for these illegal moves and is prepared to fight dirty as well.

Yup. Love the way he fights out of those bear hugs. Dude is a workhorse. Those things can be very tiring but it just looks so effortless how he shrugs guys off him.

Also whenever rigo doesthebend below the waist thing Loma was still able to find the target. Dude's just on another level. That triple lead uppercut was sweet

lol all Mayweather and Whitaker did were use illegal tactics? Every elite fighter uses some form of dirty trick in their arsenal. Ducking below the beltline is such a vague "illegal move" and you will hardly find any ref ever enforce that rule. I agree that excessive clinching is dirty and ugly but I think that Rigo did it more out of desperation rather than a gameplan. It was also easier for Lomachenko to combat that because he had such a big size advantage over Rigo, it's not that easy with a guy equally big and strong as you.

But it is things he has added to his game. He is still learning and improving and doing it at a incredible rate.

The convention had be to lean on your opponent sap their energy, Loma has changed the game.

No, they did much more than that. But it was in their repertoire.

Not many refs will take action for ducking bellow the belt line, that is what makes Lomo's action better, he just hit Rigo, don't show me the back of your head and I won't hit it.

Rigo did that holding as early as round one, it was a tactic.

Fair enough when a fighter is hurt, but fighters such as Mayweather, Wlad and Ward have used it as a tactic.

Loma's tactics to get out of it is a game changer.

He sonned rigo. Rigo tried to pull the whole ducking under waist thing and it just wasnt gonna fly. He then realized this and just started holding to make it as boring as possible and that didnt work either. He had no answer and thats why he quit. He straight up got the fight taken out of him.

Yeah, everything he tried wasn't working, must be so demoralizing.

It wasn't on the fly by Loma, he did his homework

I was thinking how Whitaker would be shown up all night.

I also wonder why in the hell no one ever called these bums out when they were active?

                Loma responded perfectly.

That's why I laughed my ass off at this fight.

Rigo quit because he couldn't cheat.

                Truly pathetic.

                    That's it, man.

Rigo just couldn't make a stinker of this one no matter what.

                    Loma wouldn't have it.
