Marquez looked like garbage in the pre-fight footage, he had no s/conditioning coach and was eating hamburguers to make weight and drinking piss

I agree Floyd was all wrong for him anyway, style wise, but Marquez went through many other disadvantages aside from that one

      so big credit for Loma

      no credit for *****ass Floyd.
Look at this disgusting, putrid, and blatantly hypocritical post. This user here has no shame in his bigotry and his zealotry. What a waste.

        Agreed.

Loma is the superior fighter and would have beaten Rigo at any weight.

The size difference didn't play a factor in this fight.

You are entitled to your opinion. Size plays a role in your ability to ouclass your opponent -or be outclassed- as much as skills. There are a lot of things in the ring that fighters usually do that they wouldn't be able to do against significantly bigger men. That's why we have so many weight-classes. These two fights were physical mismatches.

The difference is that Marquez lost fair and square and Rigo fight was weird and strage, looks fixed. Maquez was a better win

I give little credit for either win. Floyds looks a bit better now given Marquez went on to have success at 147, KOing Pac and running Timmeh close, but really it was what it was, a great big man pulling a great (but not as great) smaller guy up in weight and cheating him on the scales.

Lomachenko gets little credit from me because he had all the advantages last night. He was significantly fresher, younger, bigger and more active than Rigondeaux. Even accounting for the preposterous difference in size, Rigo was still fighting his first top level opponent in like 4 years, at 37 yrs old. Is it that surprising he wouldnt be as sharp as Lomachenko? Im mostly pissed off at other Rigo fans for building this thing up to be something it wasnt.

Lomachenko is no.4 on my p4p list behind GGG, Canelo and Bud. I think Canelo and Golovkins performance against each other trumps anything that Loma or Crawford have done so far, both of these guys are looking for signiture wins still in my eyes. I slightly prefer Crawfords depth to his resume, but really they are 3a and 3b like Canelo and GGG are 1a and 1b.

The best you can say if you ignore the weight (which is frankly ridiculous), is that prime Lomachenko is the superior boxer and fighter to a 37 year old inactive Rigondeaux. Which shouldnt really be surprising to anyone

Call them excuses call em what you want. These were just facts coming into the fight

I agree with this. Everything from getting your opponent to react to feints due to your shots being more hurtful to being able to cover more ground with your footwork. Most of Loma's punches were just love taps last night, and you can afford to do that when your punches have a lot more weight behind them.

Theres more to size advantage then just leaning on your opponent or bulldozing them, otherwise master boxers would be moving up all the time to fight other pure boxers in higher weight classes.

was marquez outsized by bradley? coming off the biggest win of his career in the shape of his life he still got a boxing lesson, what is the excuse for that?

no version of marquez ever beats floyd period.

you wanna talk about fixed fight? how about floyd failing to make weight and then changing the contract weight at the last minute?
