stop making excuses for marquez/rigo, they got outclassed

tired of seeing this bs narrative, marquez lost to floyd not because of the weight difference but because he was outmatched and made to look like **** by the superior boxer.

same with rigo, wtf would he have done at a lower weight class? would he have magically landed a left hand that he missed all night? he was clinching all night because he had no answers to loma movement and work rate.

weight does make a difference obviously in most fights but in many instances skill makes much more difference.

    rant over.

Marquez was not only outsized, outweighed and cheated on the scales

he was also in the worst shape of his entire career (he had to hire Heroidia after that fight), he looked bloated and sluggish as hell

Rigo on the other hand, was in excellent shape with people commenting how "beastly" he looked in the pre fight workouts

Marquez looked like garbage in the pre-fight footage, he had no s/conditioning coach and was eating hamburguers to make weight and drinking piss

I agree Floyd was all wrong for him anyway, style wise, but Marquez went through many other disadvantages aside from that one

      so big credit for Loma

      no credit for *****ass Floyd.

Loma lost to Salido, who is an average fighter. Sick of hearing excuses for why Loma lost that one.

im a huge marquez fan but he'd never have beaten floyd at any weight, floyd was a better fighter and add to that he was a horrible style match up. Saying that not only did floyd drag him up in weight, he also didnt bother to make weight and the size difference was ridiculous. Rigo wouldnt beat loma at any realistic weight.

Floyd's win over JMM was good, but Loma's over Rigo was better.

In both cases the losing opponent moved up 2 weight classes. Loma pressed for the finish while Floyd was content simply hurting and discouraging JMM.

              Styles make fights though

Like I said before the fight, the size difference would be too great. I see a few Rigo fans making excuses but I see even more Loma fans trying to pretend they were close in size. It was comical how much bigger Loma was.

It would be like GG and Kovalev fighting at 175. Doesn't matter what anyone says after the fight, Kovalev will have been too big to be fighting that little dude at 175.

It's really simple, if you denigrated Floyd and gave him no credit for beating Marquez DO NOT MAKE THREADS AND POSTS LAUDING LOMA FOR DOING THE SAME THING. Those of us who DID give Floyd ample credit and praise for the win can do the same for Loma because WE AREN'T BLATANT AND ABHORRENT HYPOCRITES.
