Because wanting to hold Loma is only natural.

Everyone, deep down, is a Lomasexual.

Loma is the best naturally gifted fighter since Roy Jones Jr. I'm super serious. Of course he's P4P number 1, If same size and he beats Crawford.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't like it. I hate holding just for the sake of stalling the action. But, I know why he did it. You can't let a bigger guy be that close to you. You get ***ed up.
What are you on about? It's the exact opposite, the smaller guy is supposed to want to get inside whereas the bigger guy tries to keep distance.

What was Rigo gonna do, beat him from the outside?

          You're not getting it....
This isn't about boxing inside. It's about what happens when someone is too close to box with and the opponent is big enough to move you just by walking forward. Headbuts happen at that range.

Surely you couldn't have missed Loma's forearm on the back of the neck? In order to avoid energy-draining shyt like that, Rigo chose to hold. I think it was a mistake, and he should have tried to create space.

What you said about fighting outside...Rigo wanted to fight him at range, not inside. And, for your education, Rigo had the longer reach.

He didn't want to get booed running. Seems holding is more acceptable these days.

The ref wasn't breaking them up, like 99.9999% of refs do.

A 1.25" reach advantage is nullified by the height advantage. Smaller fighters try to get inside, not hug it out.

Not really. Donaire and Andre Dirrell are a lot more gifted.

thats what people do when they are outclassed. look at wards fights. you didnt see him holding much or fouling against paul smith did ya? he got away with murder(of the testicles) too bad a real ref wasnt in there to stop his nonsense. delusional fans actually think holding is good boxing. sad

Couldn't handle Loma in the pocket. Loma wasn't throwing one or two shots, he was throwing five or six shots without getting out of position. Rigo could slip one or two but he was getting caught after that and wasn't able set up a counter.
