If it was a better fighter than Truax, he would have gotten KTFO. DeGale is a warrior but damaged goods at this point.

don't understand how degale can let the guy step in on him, not throw anything and not move his right foot to the side so the other guy doesn't get the advantage.

Haha, out of all the close DeGale fights Truax gets the benefit of the doubt.

I should of known better too support a Brit. I'm not even mad, the U.S.A has another world champion at 168. It appears that the tough competition on the American continent took the best out of James Degale, this is the reason that coward Callum Smith decided to opt out of challenging for the WBC world title in America, and we seen what happened to George Groves when he came out to Las Vegas against Badou Jack ; E.U bum jr is going to think twice before fighting over here.....

I tried to find a worthy Brit to cheer for but now all hope is lost.

DeGale was the reigning IBF super-middleweight champion and tried to unify with the WBC strap in a showdown with Badou Jack in January.

DeGale says his shoulder was already “gone” before the fight. The problem was revealed when the team headed to America for the fight. But DeGale insisted on going through with the fight.

The decision was taken to have surgery in June, during which Dr Funk, one of the UK’s leading shoulder specialists, discovered more damage than he had expected.

Degale stated “I had 180-degree tear around the shoulder, my AC joint needed stabilizing, it needed anchoring up and my rotator cuff was torn,”

I'm not making excuses. I'm not even a fan. But it seems like he was damaged goods before the Badou Jack fight.

I don't know if this is the case but sometimes fighters over 30 breakdown and are never the same JMHO!

Here we go again. More anti-british posts from 1 hour run.

Every time there is a thread about a British fighter, you’re in on it, moaning like b*tch.

And it’s all because you’re hard for Wilder and mad that AJ gets all the attention.

Grow up, you’re a disgrace to this site.

At the end of the sixth round, DeGale in the corner asking if he is winning it. His trainer said: Yeah, yeah but t's close.
