Comments Thread For: Arum: Joshua-Parker 'Very, Very Close' for March 31 in Cardiff

Promoter Bob Arum told the Los Angeles Times on Friday that a deal is near completion for heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker to meet March 31 in Cardiff, Wales. Negotiations for their title unification fight have been ongoing for more than a month because Parker's representatives have been holding out for more money. Arum, whose company co-promotes Parker, said the two sides are "very, very close" to finalizing a deal.

My 30 - 35% prediction was on point. Expected Wilder to be made in the 35 - 40% range when the time comes.

Glad it's happening. Wilder v. Ortiz should be coming soon too.

67/33 for an absolute unknown in the division with a meaningless belt few even recognize. Parker is an absolute non-entity in the division. Wilder is getting 50/50 or Joshua is ducking.

Wilder will be 40+ IMO , maybe even 50/50 by the time they fight, nice hypetrain would have built up in USA for undisputed and some good PPV, I think Wilder is about to break through a bit in USA

Parker's getting more than 60-40. He is getting paid well for that paper belt

I don't think the WBO is much worse if any than the others now , it's hardly the ibo
Sure Parker has not set the world on fire and comes from a small market but he's an unbeaten champ with a couple of defenses, he's hung in there , he's hardly Charles Martin or Bruce seldon

Haha yeah I guess, I mean comparing their status as champs

I think Wilder could get 50/50 by the time the hype train builds in USA
