Remember when Arum put Chavez-Martinez on the same night as the already announced Canelo-Ortiz (later replaced with Lopez) fight, IN THE SAME CITY, to sabotage Golden Boy?

I'm not defending HBO at all, but Arum continues to be full of shit.

Peter Nelson is Corporate Guy not a BOXING GUY so yeah he is kinda Free Styling and taking chances and trying to see what work and what doesn't and no question the numbers have declined during his ERA of running things.

Unfortunately for HBO, ESPN has jumped into the Boxing Business so that leaves HBO with a very THIN Roster and them trying to speed up the development and rush the stardom of guys like Bivol, Naoya Inoue thinking they can somehow save the day but that will NEVER HAPPEN! HBO has strayed too far from what BUILT HBO Boxing which was American and Latin Fighters. I think Pernell Whittaker vs Tito Trinidad STILL holds the ratings record on HBO and nobody has come even close to it. It too Miguel Cotto to crack 1 Million for HBO again that is NOT a COINCIDENCE!

The International Fighters are GREAT, I like that HBO has expanded but they went too far away from home and I think they realize that now which is they signed Danny Jacobs. Regardless of who you prefer, HBO still operate out of America so you have to have Americans in the mix even if you build them up to lose to a Foreign Fighter. You can check ALL TIME Ratings and PPV Buys Numbers and you will see that most of them included an AMERICAN FIGHTER!

But losing Loma and Crawford is very BAD for HBO because they did help build those guys up and now they're fighting on ESPN

Ppl on here love to criticize the bobfather instead of giving him the respect he deserves. Its alright though Arum has been the top promoter for 50 years and will keep being the best promoter

I agree with Bob Arum on this. HBO has been passing on some good fights and then they're either on PPV or we dont het them. HBO passed on.

              PAC/Vargas
Ward/Kovalov (Should of never been on PPV)
              Crawford/Postol
              Rig./Loma
As well as a couple of other good fights

Ross didn’t play these games when he was in peters shoes, neither did Dibella. I though there was a small chance that Peter Nelson might do ok..... until I realized that all the clientele went with Ross Greenberg. Man that was a mistake! Lol
