Say what you want about Teddy, but the man knows boxing, and even though he is sometimes biased, as we all are, he seems to really care about boxing and explains the way he sees things. He’s giving his PERSONAL OPINION, which is much better than for example HBO’s prick Kellerman and sometimes RJJ spewing the ESTABLISHMENT PROPAGANDA that they are TOLD to.

Was Roy Jones commentating the Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Smith Jr fight? I'm 99% sure haha. "He's out on his feet....he's out on his feet doe....he's out on his feet doe"Comment

Yeah, me too. I like Teddy a TON, but it may be time for him to move into the studio as a part time commentator describing what happened and how with a little less emotion and a tad lower volume.
So long as Joe Tessitore, maybe the most underrated play-by-play man in sports today who is so great on boxing descriptions is there, than all will be great. He knows exactly when to just let the action do most of the talking, even as he brings just the right amount of excitement to the important moments of a match. He was so good at keeping Atlas on point and Atlas really lost control when Bernardo Osuna does the play-by-play in his absence. (Osuna is fine in the studio.) When Tessitore is not there, it so uneven. An important match like this one needs his professionalism and his passion.Comment

Hopefully he stays gone for good, as a bad commentator he hits you with both barrels; he's both biased and annoying. I'd rather have someone incredibly basic who just calls out events as they happen and offers simple observations about what's going on rather than an annoying "personality" like Teddy who ruins the whole cast by favouring one fighter and constantly spewing out baffling, half-witted turns of phrase that are just distractions from the actual fight.Comment

I watched a little bit of the Beterbiev fight and the way him and the other guy was going at it was unprofessional. I've heard him get into with Hopkins and even Ward the last time he was on.
He may know boxing but I doubt he knows boxing more than those two. With that being said, Atlas has been doing this for years. I wonder why now?Comment
