Teddy Atlas is a miserable commentator. He does everything in his power to make himself the center of attention instead of the fighters. Whether he's barking nonsense in a fighter's corner as a trainer or going ballistic over refereeing or judging as a commentator, he's consistently exposing himself as an attention whore.

His last cringefest was during Ramirez-Reed arguing that the stoppage was anything but justified. He was so off on that one that his fellow commentators were throwing shade at him. It got really pitiful as he started backtracking in the middle of his rant as replay after replay confirmed the validity of the stoppage.

Remove Teddy Atlas from all boxing programming. He's a fraud.

Must be a leak that he put a bet in and could potentially not call whats actually happening in the ring !

Personally i like Teddy attacking everyone around him including verbal abuse to his co announcers by his side !

Yeah he's definately not style conscious..

Atlas used to be OK as a commentator but from what i've heard of him over the last 4 or 5 years he sounded terrible. Bad voice, croaky, slow, old, slow brain.

Who will be on the new team?

If Rigo takes Loma to school and the judges have it wide for Loma..... will Atlas be consistent? Maybe ESPN doesnt want the world to know Teddy's rant on this one!! LMAO!!!!

I'm sure Teddy was highly compensated to not make this a big deal....
Why would he do that, when he has shown CLEAR bias towards Loma. No way in hell would he be screaming up and down if Rigo gets robbed. He would do the opposite, and try to convince the public that Loma won.

But now ESPN are trying to make a proper job of their boxing coverage (similar to BN moving their big cards to BT Sport over here) you need a bit more of a polished sound/look to go with your product and appeal to the more casual mainstream audience.

Buncey is still on there as a pundit, but he has taken a back seat compared to what he has on BN, similar to what they are doing with Teddy over there
Agreed, but guys like Atlas are good for ratings. He has hilarious rants and most people know him who don;t follow boxing.

His argument with stephen A smith was EPIC

The old Atlas was good, this new one has bought into his own hype and now wants to rant about everything. The Manny vs Horn fight was close (Which is why he never disclosed his score card, which would expose he also had to close like anyone with any scoring knowledge would), yet he acted like it was the biggest robbery ever. Just for TV. Which led to casuals going NUTS and attacking the sport even more.

Its because he cant get along with other announcers.Thats clear as he ll after last show. But the guy he was fightin with last time (forget his name right now)was out of line imo.So they gonna have Teddie do stuff where he just gives his opinion and then maybe go back to him after but they don't want his temper going off on live show.

If he didn't always act like he knows more than anyone else in the world it would help. He probably does know more but theres a difference between being a commentator and bogarting the airwaves with your rhetoric and bullying anyone else with an opinion.

No Teddie is a man of respect whether you like him or not.And I can understand why some don't.But he is a REAL man and would not try and convince anybody of anything he did not believe. And Teddy is ALWAYS scoring more to underdog so much so that I don't really give his scoring much thought.
