Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux: What Happened to Brook, Khan Won't Happen to Me

NEW YORK Guillermo Rigondeaux thinks too much has been made about him moving up two weight classes to challenge Vasyl Lomachenko. The unbeaten Cuban southpaw has never weighed in at more than 125 pounds for any of his 18 professional bouts, but will battle Lomachenko at the super featherweight limit of 130 pounds Saturday night. The long-reigning WBA super bantamweight champion considers skill more important than weight, though, and the two-time Olympic gold medalist feels he has been underestimated entering their 12-round title fight in The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

If Rigondeaux pulls this off, I can't see why he won't be considered P4P the best in the sport today. Not only this but such a victory should guarantee a Hall of Fame placement.

Whoever wins this or how they win or even if a draw, will mean they either maintain their PFP or they will move up.

Yo Rigo! Tell them to interview lomo & to leave you alone! Let them talk to you after the fight!

Mira Rigo! Dile que te deja solo para entrenar. Diles que entrevisten lomo!

              Hope I got that right....lol

“More weight than what they think and less than what they really imagine,” Rigondeaux said.

This man is an OG. Win or lose, Rigo will go down as an all time great.

This is going to be a classic. I just still find myself leaning towards Loma because of size/he's been active, Rigo hasn't.

Lol Rigo is something else. Too bad this guy can’t speak English. He’d have a lot more fans. Just hoping he’s not simply talking BS. Haha
