Haha I don’t know what you witnessed or what men they beat. A good man beats a great little man. A big man beats the **** out of a woman. You’re being silly. A woman couldn’t even take a blow from me. Haha. You’re not thinking this through.

Missing the point a bit. MMA fighters have to thinl about take downs, elbows, and high kicks that can KO them in a second.

All boxes have to think about is the two other fists coming at them. An MMA fighter could beat a boxer in a street fight, I believe.

Leg kicks to the other opponents knee section are getting more common in MMA. I see often guy lose there ability to walk mid fight due to leg kicks.

Boxing and MMA are both legit. I just think MMA fighters have more on their mind.

Someone who is only good at ju jitsu will not do well in MMA. I promise, they would have to work o their wrestling and boxing. Ju jistu requires you to be inside on your opponent to really do anything meaningful

It's been done before my man I'm not saying they can dominate mma but boxers and bjj guys have gone in there and beat the mma guy before at high levels too

It's a massive difference when those fists are being thrown at you by an elite boxer or some MMA club fighter. Difference in angles, speed, power, accuracy... It's just way harder to box with elite boxers than to exchange punches with MMA fighters. In MMA, you only need to worry about where the fight take place whether it's standing or grappling, depending on where your strength is. In boxing, you need to worry about much more specific things. Also, in boxing you can't save yourself by taking somebody down if you're getting beat up.

Boxing is more complex and harder. MMA is more a lottery, you develop a specific skillset and try to impose it. In boxing, you need to be comfortable at pretty much every aspect of it.

Boxers are better boxers I agree. But kicks my friend, can carry devastating power even to the body.

Don't forget some guys in MMA can pick you up and slam you on your head

Grappling is easier than boxing. I started with MMA but decided to go boxing full time to challenge myself.

There's no better feeling than planting your feet with boxing shoes and unleashing bombs. MMA fighters can't do that.

I'll maybe go back to MMA once my athleticism diminishes.

thats the scary part. in mma if one guy is better on the feet then the other guy could train ground to counter it or clinching. in boxing if someone is better you have to literally will yourself to victory. boxing is the purest form of a fair fight. weight to seperate big boys.

think of it like this. 2 boxers = 2 chess players

2 mma fighters = 2 people playing many different board games.

this is also telling for the noticeable skill gap in both sports

people who practice and play nothing but chess are gonna be light years beyond someone trying to juggle many different types of board games

all in all i think boxing is not only superior as a combat sport but also as a fighting system.

boxing is corrupt but at least in our sport the best fight the best.(not implying they dont in mma but they kinda dont)

with the aspects that mma and boxing share most of them go to boxing.

Women's MMA is an actual joke - sorry if I hurt any feelings but it's just ****ing terrible. You have females who strapped on some nice pretty pink gloves, went to the gym for a few years and are now fighting in the UFC. The skill level just isn't there.

MMA the best fight the best MORE often I'd say, because there aren't different sanctioning bodies trying to protect their cash cow. Plus, although they have some stinky decisions, it is much, much less corrupt than boxing and more fights get finished.

Not a big fan, but can appreciate it. The one thing I like about it is the glove size. I think people underestimate how dramatically the size of gloves affect fights. I think smaller gloves create a more dynamic, razor-edge type fight.
