He's such an annoying little **** since he won. He's not elite. His corner were awesome and had to plead with him to go after an injured Cotto and he was still hesitant. NO ****ING WAY DOES HE BEAT VARGAS if he couldn't finish one-armed Cotto. Elite my arse....and stop comparing him to Naseem Hamed HBO, you hacks, Naz was 100 times better and entertaining.

Sadam Ali is not as good as Spence, Thurman, Crawford, Lara, Charlo or Hurd. He could put together solid wins if managed properly in the golden boy way though...

There is no way that Ali is elite. He's good, but not elite.

Smith is the mandatory for the title so it looks like that one will be next. And it's not a given that he beats him. Should be an interesting fight.

For what? It does nothing for either of their careers. Matthysse is too small to fight at Jr middleweight and Ali gets nothing by being Matthysse.
              That fight is senseless.

he beat a guy, albeit a good win, with a foot already out of the door.

i'm not bashing ali but he is not elite.

vargas starches him again, kid has no killer instinct .... he could have slept cotto at any point in those last 3 rounds if he applied some substantial pressure.

I think Ali can beat both Kell Brook and Liam Smith for good pay days in the UK.

Or got knocked the phuk out like the Vargas fight. He was beating Vargas in that fight until he was careless and got caught. Hurt bad and never recovered. The difference this fight from Vargas fight was he wasn't as reckless boxed more. Ali's best asset is his speed and skills not his power. Trying to have the killer instinct is what cost him in his first title shot. He was more intelligent against Cotto and got a huge upset win and a future payday. Listening to you might got him put to sleep.

I suggest Sadam goes back to 147, where there's better NAMES, instead of campaigning at 154, where there's better FIGHTERS! If Sadam can get a big payday fighting Liam Smith or Kell Brook, do it! But stay away from J-Rock, DeLoach, Gallimore, Harrison, Lubin, Hurd, Lara, and Charlo! CONG****!
Saddam's victory is not going to cause anyone to be shaking in their boots, especially in the Jr.Middle division.

I personally think he should try to get a money fight against the likes of Smith or Kell as you suggest before rolling the dice with the others especially at WW where he belongs.

Having said that i am not willing to concede any of the following will beat him:
                      J-Rock - decent but overrated
                      Harrision- front runner and chinny.
Lubin- decent but overrated as hell.

He should steer clear of Hurd, Lara, and Charlo if he decides to stay at Jr. Middle.
