If jesse fought Cotto, who else is on Golden Boy to fight, whereas he actually has a chance to fight Thurman/Spence/Porter/Garcia, even if he will be used as guerrero type like u say
I know what you mean but he lost both fights. If he had beaten Cotto then he could of had decent match ups against Kell Brook and Liam Smith. Both decent pay days against those two English fighters and he would have a better chance of beating those two guys than any of the top welterweights under Haymon.

I see what you're saying. Also with Al u never even know if or when he would even have gotten those guys. Guess we'll just have to see where Vargas goes from here and then determine it later.

Sadam Ali, who's also promoted by Golden Boy, jumped at the chance to challenge Cotto for the WBO super welterweight title at Madison Square Garden.

Regarding an Ali-Vargas rematch, Golden Boy founder Oscar De La Hoya joked that Premier Boxing Champions boxers "only fight once every two years." Vargas parted ways with longtime promoter Top Rank Inc. recently to sign with Al Haymon’s PBC.
