No, it's just that I'm Mexican American myself and have grown up around almost nothing but Mexicans. I've seen a wide range of them, asian looking Mexicans, african, european etc. there are clear differences in Mexicans like wider noses, darker skin, shorter stature, difference facial shape in general.

These faces were compiled from thousands of images to find an average.

There are a lot of Indians and Indian/Spanish mixed people in Mexico, and no Indians in Spain. So obviously, if you merge the faces of Mexicans and Spaniards like that, you will see a difference.

That doesn't mean there are no Spanish looking Mexicans doe. Canelo Alvarez proves that. His pale skin and red hair are European Celtic traits, almost certainly from Spanish ancestors.

Edit: A recent genetic study of indigenous European populations found a lot of similarities between British "celts" the - Welsh, Irish and Scots - and the Spanish Basques, which is probably where Canelo gets his Irish look from.
