I been knew he was witty. Lara is too, but people used to give credit to his trainer for the trash talk, when it was always Lara. Them Cubans man, something about em!!

A past prime fighter of ATG ability is still a formidable opponent. I have to believe Rigo is at least slightly past it, given his age. I was always a fairly athletic guy. By the time I was Guillermo’s age, I was well past my physical prime. I was, and still am (in my early fifties), in good shape, but the absolute peak was over. Now obviously everyone is different, and Rigo is world- class, but when you’re going against another world-class opponent who’s unquestionably in his prime, there could be a problem. I see this as probably a bigger issue than the size factor, which itself cannot be overlooked.

Lol It’s just the culture, man. Cubans trash talk like crazy in competition, whether it be a domino game or a boxing match. Lol

I see it the same way. I am really not concerned about the weight, I am concerned about Rigo's reflexes and timing in a demanding/physical fight because that's the fight it's going to be against Loma. If he could sustain his focus, reflexes and timing round after round then I think he is better at his style than Loma is at his. I'd say it's a 60-40 fight in Loma's favour now because of Rigo's age and inactivity, not because of going up in weight.

Rigo may just pull an upset, but I can’t see how anyone favors him. If he pulls it off, it’ll be based on styles and perhaps slightly greater skills. The deck is stacked. It’s gonna be tough, but I’m hoping for the best.

The best style is the defensive style. Guys who are good at it have long and successful careers.

Mayweather, Leonard, Robinson and Ali were all defensive fighters and they had long, successful careers.

Loma is a great fighter but his style will hurt him if he still boxes in his later years as it is not a successful style of fighting in the long term.

Good defense tends to keep you intact longer. Lol

Lomo’s style, like Gamboa, relies greatly on athleticism. That speed and those reflexes are the first casualty in an athlete’s arsenal. Doesn’t help that Vasyl has, in his own words, “baby skin.” Sadly, his career isn’t likely to last too long.
