It is kinda strange how we had people, for years, going off about Rigo, slamming anyone who dared criticize him, etc. Where are all these annoying ***ers now? You guys were insufferable. Now, you're su****iously quiet. Similar to how certain Golovkin fans backed off right before the Canelo fight.

I have mad respect for Rigo, but he had a lot of annoying fans on here and many of them have grown real quiet.

As a fan of both guys, I can't wait. If Rigo wins he's top p4p imo. Loma should be a 60/40 favorite due to the weight. I'll make no excuses f Rigo gets laid out or vice versa. I think these are the 2 most skilled fighters I've seen fight each other since Toney vs Roy Jones Jr.

Same though I think Loma is more likely to win given the advantages he has in this fight. I'm rooting for Rigo because he's considered the underdog.

Fair enough! I personally don't care who wins. I just want to see the highest levels of skills, technique and tactics in display by both boxers which I expect from both of them, based on them being two of the most skilled and competent boxers in history..

Interesting how fan theory gets adapted into network theory. Ironically the only people who have been quiet was the network and main promoter, not the fans!! Explain? Where's the promotional work by Top Rank and ESPN? Where's ESPN's responsibility or response regarding this P4P matchup? It doesn't make any sense.

I mean, I could theorize why it's not in the best interest for ESPN and Top Rank not to hype up a guy from Cuba going up to weight classes.... I mean...the main writers for Boxing under ESPN...I wonder if they have any say about this stuff..

1) He didn't lose any bout yet officially.

2) He fought and beat the best possible opponents whilst remaining undefeated for half a decade whilst also racking up one of the most impressive knockout records in middleweight boxing history. So no, he didn't face only 2 good opponents. If there were better opponents he could've faced that he didn't at 160 pounds, then it is them who avoided him and not vice versa. Therefore, it is not his fault that bouts against those opponents didn't take place.


I can understand if anybody doesn't want to rank / rate GGG in the top 10 P4P rankings. Since P4P is extremely subjective and the criteria behind ranking boxers varies from individual to individual. However, Golovkin's legacy at 160 pounds is indisputable! He has been the best 160 pound middleweight boxer of the last decade and to me, being the best of one's own era is enough to be cemented as an ATG in that particular weight division.

It can definitely get expensive if you’re traveling exclusively for an event. As with most sports, I’d rather be watching on TV. That’s my personal preference. But certain events you just want to be there live. I would’ve loved to be at this upcoming fight, but it wasn’t to be. I think there’s enough incentive for both these great athletes to pour their hearts out.
