Margarito vs Collazo Sept. 9 ?

He could fight Margarito like he did Rivera, but too be safe he should focus on boxing more, way more, in the Hatton fight he brawled for the 1st 5 rounds.

I dont see Collazo being able to box Margarito as good as he did Hatton,we always here how a stronger or more skilled boxer is gonna Ko or school Margarito but it hasnt happen. I think Collazo gets Ko'ed late. It will be a great fight tho, and i dont doubt Collazo has a chance but i dont see it happeneing. Collazo is not that fast its just Hatton made him look good. And i will tell you something,if Margarito Ko's Collazo he better watch out because every PR is gonna hate him for ko'ing two prospects/good boxers from PR within 2 1/2 years.

not that you brought that to the fore front, i think it would be wise for arum to pay the extra money..... then if cotto can be as succesfull at welterweight by then it should be a big fight between cotto-margarito and it will have a good story line. and another puerto rico v. mexico battle.



either way these two are going to collide sooner or later.

the welterweight division is going to be heated. a few top contenders and prospects are showing promise for title contention, then cotto and castillo are moving up. i think from 140-147 these fighters here are going to do what the featherweights have been doing, which is fight whomever regardless of weight and even the 154 pounders can join the mix. lots of good fights are going to be made in the near future at welterweight.

What do you mean it hasnt happened? You act like Margaito has fought a skilled boxer and the only one he did fight was Santos and guess what happened?

King is a smart man, he makes an outrages offer so his fighter can fight Margarito and knowing Arum won't accept the price, he then makes his fighter look good because now the media is reporting that arum turned down a fight for margarito to face collazo.

I havn't yet checked to see if this is true or not since their isn't a link. But it is very surprising to finally see a king fighter challenge Margarito. The sky is fallig or we are in hell, cause kings past 3 champions have not been allowed to fight margarito and all of a sudden he will allow collazo to fight margarito...wow...he must be asking for tons of money.

i hope the fight does happen, this will be a good name on margaritos list of ko's.

Your 1st paragraph is the exact same thing you could say the oppiste way about Mayweather. Arum publicly offers Mayweather a fight but he already knows that Floyd has wanted to fight Oscar for years and that way it can make Margarito look good because the media is reporting that Floyd turned the fight down?

Unlike virtually every other fight that is upcoming and has happened... I would willingly pay for PPV on this fight, even though it probably wouldn't be one.
