For awhile, I was under the impression that Rigo refused to move from 122 (whether up or down). Can anyone confirm that?

At least you are a fair Rigo fan. Others call Loma "a overrated bum". I can't wait to what they will say after the fight.Comment

It will be harder for each guy to land or perhaps even harder for each guy to slip the other one's punches, maybe a little of both at times. It wont be a war but it will be fun to see, mainly because if one guy is losing, we will see if he can ultimately adjust and if he does, that will show he is more versatile and everyone will be able to witness his superiority.
Conversely, if the fighter who is losing never adjusts, we will see his limitations at this high level. Whoever goes to the body better may have the edge since the body doesnt have the same defense as the head. Weight difference in a fight like this is not a factor because weight comes into play when a bigger fighter is leaning on the other one in the center of the ring or against the ropes which wears down a fighter, especially their lower back. That is not the case here....everything will be based on skills.
I give a very slight edge to Lom but can see a scenario where each guy wins. I am going with a draw or a majority decision with both guys retaining their PFP rankings. If the win is clear, then whoever that is will rise to the top of the PFP list. Age would only be a factor if Rigo had taken punishment or had more pro fights, especially more physical fights or slippage was obvious but Rigo is well-preserved for those obvious reasons.Last edited by richardt; 11-30-2017, 02:47 PM.Comment

Yes, he thought everyone should come down to 122. I think he genuinely thought it was the most significant division in Boxing, that he was it's biggest star and that beating Donaire was like beating Pacquaio in his prime.Comment

The same Mikey Garcia who called out Gamboa, went away for two years. The Mikey Garcia who called out Cotto and turned it down and then called out Linares and told the WBC not to mandate it and then turned it down to fight Figueroa.
Yes that guy. Funny thing is he will be fighting at 140 "calling out" Loma and not being remotely serious about fighting him and even with his track record will be the guy Loma is running from.
Went through this with Walters, now Rigo and there will be someone else after Garcia.
Rigo is going to lose like 90% of his "fans" which sucks. It's sad these people are more loyal to the fighters they hate than the ones they are "fans" of.Comment

They will still say that. They will just have 300 excuses as to why Rigo didn't win and Rigo wasn't that good anyway. They will move onto the next guy. My guess is that it's Mikey Garcia.

To be honest if he unified Heavyweight he'd get no credit and I am not even joking. "weak division avoided Easter, Davis and Farmer".Comment

Lomanchanko offered him $500
I watched a video on Daunte Boxing nation where Rigos trainer said they turned the fight down at 126 because Lomanchankos camp offered him like $500 to fight him. They though Lomanchankos camp was joking but they were not. Look it upComment

2. Rigondeaux agreed and was ok with the split with the winner earning $1m.
3. Rigondeaux requested Lomachenko at 124lbs, and eventually 126lbs with a rehydration clause.
4. Rigondeaux accepted the 126lb fight with a rehydration clause of 137lbs.
5. Just as it was about to be finalised, Rigondeaux pulled out.
6. Rigondeaux first said it was due to money, then said it was about the weight, re-stating he wanted 124lbs.Comment
