I think everyone needs to take step back it's not about ducking anyone we have to take all the facts into account. This fight is only realistic in 2019 because after a serious operation Thurman will take up a tune up fight his been advised by his team so someone in the top 15. He then has obligations to fight Porter his WBC mandatory most probably on July, then don't forget his got to defend against his WBA mandatory probably in December 18, then only then consider Spencer probably between March to May 19. If Spencer was clever go after Horn's WBO belt to setup up unification fight and we as a public get awesome fights until then. It will be a big fight now and then so everyone relax it should he a good 2018 in the welter.

I see 2019 as well. Thurman needs a tune-up in Feb/Mar. If he fights again in 2018, he probably does a rematch with either Porter or Garcia. Winner of that fight should get Spence in 2019, though if Danny Garcia should pull out a win, I don't see him stepping up to fight Spence, ever.

Finally, somebody with some sense! Porter is his WBC Mando and will fight Thurman after Thurmans comeback fight. Then he his WBA mando. 3 fights in 1 year for a PBC guy? Yeah right! They BARELY fight twice a year!!!!!

I'm all for a unification bout with Spence, but he should know better then that!

Spence may as well just try for the other belt, but that will be a wait too. He should try to get fights with Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthysse if possible in the meantime. If they will fight, that is.
