His only real legit win’s were Benn and maybe Rocchigiani.
Oh definitely. The ratio of decent to mediocre opposition was very low. His belt was the least desirable of those available and there was never much of a push from him to try any of the more dangerous champions. He was content to keep interest from the domestic market high.

Although he was a different fighter after the Watson bout ended so tragically. Maybe without that he'd have tried to mix it on the world stage.

Fury fought a brilliant and masterful fight against Klitchko. I don't think anyone shd take anything away from that achievement.
He fought a very intelligent fight, because he's an intelligent guy, who also suffers chronic depression. And the beeb nobbled the phone lines so he couldnt win Sports Personality.

Yeah that’s a fair point, that fight did change him for obvious reasons. I remember listening to him on some sky behind the ropes show, with Collins, Benn, Calzaghe and RJJ and he talked about how he wasn’t one of those guys who truly desired to be the best, he was content to just to be one of best. I think he and his team knew his ceiling. He played the pantomime villain so maintaining his undefeated record was important cause a lot of people tuned to him into his fights hoping to see him lose. A loss to Jones/Toney type would’ve hurt his aura that’s why I believe he largely fought sub par more domestic level competition outside of guys like Benn, Collins, Rocchigiani etc.

Right now as we both speak, Chris Eubank Senior is more a legend and well respected inside of the boxing game compared to Tyson Fury! He retired nearly 20 years ago, and people still speak about his fights and accolades inside of the ring (The rivalries and the passion etc!) Nobody but only Tyson Fury himself, and his Elvis Presley cult followers online! are speaking about HIS performances in the same esteem as Chris Eubank Seniors! (These are the facts mate, he won one fight? And then got spooked by Wladimir Kiltschko during the rematch build up! He is not the man to beat, that is why nobody is chasing after him! And he has to call people out, I mean come on? He is desperately calling Tony Bellew out for a fight! Anthony Joshua is the premier world heavyweight champion, and deep down everybody on this entire forum knows this to be the truth!).

Also a good point. I think the best tribute to him is that he managed to entertain even when the quality of opponents wasn't up to scratch.

When he did fight decent opposition there was nothing wrong with his heart. He could certainly take a shot.

As you said above, deserves to be remembered as a decent B level fighter. Made the most of the talent he had.

Completely agree man, he was great for British boxing, the 90’s is my favourite era domestically and that’s largely down to guys like Eubank.
Nice to speak to someone that actually understands boxing on this thread 👍🏻

If you actually think I was gonna read more of your nonsense, your more deluded than I thought
                Let’s talk in FACTS!
Tyson Fury won the lineal, unified HW title against a p4p top 10 rated opponent
Eubank never won a unified or lineal title and never even fought a top 10 p4p fighter, he was merely a just a belt holder and the WBO was barely recognised as a legit organisation back then.
Fury achieved more accolades in one fight than Eubank did his entire career.
You haven’t got a clue kid...
...I done wasting time with idiots like you!
