You don't really watch boxing huh cool.Well for record both can broner hits harder then people prob give him credit. But I would say Bhop people forget when he was coming up and even after he won title he was called a PUNCHER.He scored his 1st 6-7 defences by KO.It was only when he got older really right after 1st echols fight that he started to become more of a boxer. You wanna see a great KO youtube his fight with joe Lipsey. He was undefeated young top 10 fighter getting his 1st title fight. He was about 25 or so and never fought again after KO.He was not hurt perm but he had enough. B Hop could punch.Comment

Hopkins kept his power and demonstrated it many times all the way from 160 to 175 against guys who were often bigger then him.Do you not understand what he meant by "P4P"?
I'd say Broner but not by a lot. His accuracy isn't as good as Hopkins but he's probably got more power for the weight classes he fought in. BHop had great accuracy and superior strategy in getting in punches so he was able to beat great boxers. Broner has holes in his game and never beat any great fighters so he's not as good a boxer, but was maybe a stronger puncher.
It's debatable though so it's not like I'm really passionate about picking Broner here.
Burner demonstrated nothing at 140 and up against guys his size or larger.
Broner was only puncher when he was 10 pounds bigger then his opponent, imo that makes Hopkins the p4p harder puncher.Last edited by N!Ck F.; 11-29-2017, 12:54 AM.Comment

I agree with everthing on B hop and think he was bigger puncher early in career. But Broner IS a pretty good puncher(And no he is not a HOFer)ask Maidona who hit him hardest? And he also dropped a BIGGER Porter. That being said he is also THE WORST 4 div titlest ever.Hopkins kept his power and demonstrated it many times all the way from 160 to 175 against guys who were often bigger then him.

P4p has nothing to do with divisions. It is a way to compare two fighters in a certain aspect, who are naturally different size fighters OR fought in different eras.
I don’t see how “divisions” are relevant.
P4p Hopkins hits harder then Broner. Broner did not demonstrate power at 140&147 where as Hopkins showed power at 160,168,175.
Broner appeared to hit hard when he was bigger then his opponent as soon as he moved to 140 & 147 his power disappeared, he did not demonstrate the ability to hurt bigger opponents (other than a flash knockdown of Porter)
The way Hopkins did.
Hopkins showed he can hurt a bigger opponent, and was able to do it in every weight class he campaigned in.
So again,
Bernard Hopkins demonstrated he can move up in weight, fight guys bigger then him and hurt them (when he wanted to, as he boxed more than broner and didn’t really gun for ko’s)
Broner showed the opposite.
Thus concluding, Bernard, pound for pound, had better power than Broner does.Comment
