Comments Thread For: Gamboa: Good Decision, I Thought I Won Almost Every Round

The Theater, Madison Square Garden, New York City - In a matchup of two former super featherweight champions, Yuriorkis Gamboa of Cuba, a 2004 Olympic gold medalist, took a majority decision from Jason Sosa that was derisively booed by the crowd. 2 me Gamboa did not impress me and the blind judge you had it a draw was pathetic that's why State organizations need to payr at least put them on the shelf for 6 months and give him a rest for eye strain the no way in the world that fight was a draw

It was a close fight, could have been 5-5 or 6-4 either way but if I remember correctly, the cards were quite a bit wider than that.

Frankly embarrassing. I hope this sort of corruption ends in my lifetime.

Gamboa will definitely push for a Lomachenko bout in 2018 "to avenge the loss of Rigondeaux".

... Thanks... but I always have issues with my "time zone"...
I've watched the fights in the morning (in my country)...

Anyone know Gamboa’s purse for the fight? Still can’t believe he turned down $1m for Brandon Rios a few years ago...

Made 80 Euros by betting on Gamboa at 3.40 so it's OK... I saw him a narrow winner, but he's running on empty.
