I hope it will be Beterbiev, but I don't know what's up with his promoter issues. If it's Arum, I don't see Beterbiev on HBO any time soon. We know Stevenson won't be on HBO, and Bivol has a mando with Barerra. It's either Bivol or Gvozdyk next. I'm cool with either one!

As soon as HBO puts Kovalev out on his ass Kathy will come begging Stevenson for a fight.

Beterbiev is the hardest fight for Kovalev just based on the amateur losses, and the fact that Kovalev can quite comfortably hang with any boxer now that Ward is gone BUT Beterbiev has that freak power + strength on the inside.

Plus let's be real, I'd like to see Adonis vs Kovalev finally happen but he isn't going to risk fighting him for 1 belt, but if they have 2 each that would be an awesome unification bout. I think Bivol is overrated and that Oleksandr Gvozdyk despite not having a belt would be a better and stronger opponent and a potential threat to Kovalev and Adonis (his chin is suspect though, if only he uses his range and footwork like the Chilemba fight)
He dropped and beat Ward and then got low-blowed the second fight...

Ward isn't a "boxer" - Ward is a cheater.. low-blows..headbutts.. excessive clinching - but Black refs let him get away with it..

So many exciting boxers in this division: Kovalev, Bivol, Betrbiev, Gvozdyk, Barrera, Stevenson, Badou Jack, and even Marcus Brown and Anthony Yarde.

It is a good fight, but I have to think Bivol came to see the headliner last night, and not the guy on the undercard! $$$

Its absolutely ridiculous that this fight hasn't happened yet. Truth be told, I am more hyped for Bivol and Beterbiev vs Krusher than Stevenson. I almost forgot about Adonis.

100% accurate. Bivol was there to size up Kovalev although Beterbiev may be the best of all. We shall see.

Now that he's got one fight in after the two successive losses perhaps he can go straight into the mix with the four mentioned above. Forget Stevenson. He's only been waiting for the highest bidder like forever.
