I think he's still a top 2 top three..light heavyweight.. he has more top flight experience than bivol and beterbiev which could come in handy..plus he has a beautiful left jab and a very solid right hand that could stop those guys but make no mistake.. beterbiev, bivol and Stevenson and the other top guys are no pushovers but equally or closely as powerful..things just got interesting at 175lbs..which is good for boxing

Kovalev looked a little vulnerable early. It looked like Shabranskyy stunned Kovalev in that first round. Good thing Sergey got power!!

Ring rust bro. There was a nicely stiff jab that landed on Kov's upper lip or thereabouts. Kov took it well, staggered back, then went on about his business. With the rust off I doubt that the Bivols of this world would get to Kov like that. Maybe Bertibiev...maybe.

In any event, the Krusher is back, still with excuses on the Ward losses, but back! I'm excited!

I can’t believe it’s been so long and Stevenson still hasn’t fought Kovalev

Kovalev, that was a gift my man. Try that with Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Bivol, Barrera...let's see how well you do then. Hard to judge where Kovalev is against mediocre opposition. Now that he's got one fight in after the two successive losses perhaps he can go straight into the mix with the four mentioned above. Forget Stevenson. He's only been waiting for the highest bidder like forever.

Whatever the case I don't think he'll go the distance with Bivol or Gvozdyk and Beterbiev will maul his ass. Barrera will turn on the Cuban style and probably school him too.

Kovalev against either Beterbiev or Stevenson would be great fights to watch, whichever the winner.

Bivol will beat the krucher... I wanna see how good he is, can't wait for him to fight Barrera. We will see how good he is and he's the youngest of all champions by 3_4 years.
