Look at this idiot, same old mistakes he made with S.O.G when Dre almost knocked him out with a straight right -- notice how he gives his opponent too many looks, waving all kinds of flags pausing overconfident in his weak feints ; some of it has to do with a lack of respect for his opponents power, a lot of it has to do with is eagerness to land that right hand.

Poor balance, poor defense , lack of head-movement, straight up and down fighter, this guy is food for Marcus Brown and Badou Jack, and is getting KO by Adonis Stevenson if he ever mans up, but you know the WBO did him a favor handing him a belt so he can negotiate a little better now that hes a 'Champion' pfft ; I mean really he should be asking Bivol and Beterbiev for a title shot instead.

Marcus Browne and Badou Jack are much more able than Issac Chilemba who was past his best yet managed very well against Kovalev. I'm almost sure both men that I proposed as potential opponents for Sergay are primed or peaking in contrast Kovalev appears to have lost some of his reflexes, evident in this performance vs. Shabranskyy.

I agree with the last part of your comment, I should of said Kovalev will do the catchweight and Gennady would stay at 160 draining Sergay, HBO would like that.

Excellent observation, Bivol and Beterbiev have equal claim as champions with Kovalev fighting a lesser opponent than they had too for a world title, but this wont last for long with Marcus Browne in 2018.
