Kovalev looked extremely good on his come back fight here. I'm just surprised nobody is saying anything about the majority of those right hands that wobbled or dropped shab landing either to Shab's ear or back head area. A few idiots were up in arms about Wilder hitting Stiverne in the back of the head before he got him out of there, but people seem to have a blind eye with kovalev does the same thing. Funny how that works. Anyways, bring on Adonis, Beter, Divol, barrera for the Krusher. I think he beats them all convincingly as well.

Perfect fight and opponent for kovalev to come back.

        This ^

Ward is just a special talent but with him retiring, we're back to 2014 with Kovalev being number one dog

Kovalev is still a spiteful ****er. He'll only ever lose to a special talent like Ward. The rest of the division is easy for him to dominate

There are levels in all sports and this was a perfect example. Kovalev is elite while Slava at best is a fringe contender more like a gatekeeper.

Mismatch but it's good to see Kovalev get his mojo back at least.

Lets get Kovalev vs Beterbiev and Barrera vs Bivol next!!

Sure Shabranskyy is not that great a fighter but Kov blew through him. Can't ask for much more.
I think he wants another man to get killed in the ring against Kovalev. He was already being checked by doctors after first round.

Biggest threat is Beterbiev and "Chickenson" as he still calls him after all these years. Gvozdyk suprisingly didn't get a mention, who has good footwork, reach and power - though I think Kovalev finds his chin and puts him down, though he is still a very good opponent and one that doesn't get mentioned nearly enough (Bivol out of nowhere).

I think Ward is the better fighter, he has conquered 2 divisions, and I bet on him to beat Kovalev the first time but Kovalev won that first match, no doubt

Kovalev was visualizing Andre's face over Shabranskyy's face throughout that beatdown.
