You need to stop repeating this nonsense.

The challenger at a WBA/IBF purse bid is getting 25% of the winning bid and the winning bid is going to be based on what the promoter believes the total revenue will be.

Higgins wants his side to share 35% of the profit. Hearn wants Higgins' side to share 30% of the profit. If the fight gets made, they'll have to meet somewhere in between. Neither side is going to budge another 5% at this point.

There must be more to it than just a percentage of a "Purse"? e.g. PPV rights per country, ticket sales at venue etc...

Is there a winners bonus??? surely that would resolve a few arguments about figures, just agree to give the winner the extra %5 that being argued about.

Usually no winners bonus, though anything can be put into a contract. A promotor has an idea how much a fight would be worth, which is the amount in the 'kitty' for the fighters.
The usual debate is over what percent of the kitty/split of the kitty - each fighter gets. It is the promotor putting up all the financial risk. If the fighters get paid well and the show does crap, the fighters still get their money and promotor may lose out. This doesn't happen all the time but it does happen.

In this particular case Hearn is trying to give parker a flat fee that sounds generous at first but turns into penuts once manager, coach, cut man, asst coach etc all take their share of the pie.

Team parker want 35% of total revenue. This means in the contract it will say Hearn will be audited to check the numbers and figures of total revenue, and team parker will take 35% from that figure.

In conclusion. If Hearn loses, Parker loses. Team Parker know Hearn will make big dollars and they want a generous slice of the pie. Fair play team parker. Hearn on the other hand wants to give Parker '5 times his highest purse'vThis may be true but it also may turn out to be 14% or 23% of revenue.

There is a good read that but prob won't let me post the link, since there is worse censoreship than north korea around here.

If they do the 02 for Parker, it would be smart to do the Wilder fight in Vegas.

35% is very cheeky considering Parker brings very, very little of that revenue to the table.

So compromise and accept 30%, which will be the biggest payday you ever have, by some margin

Or throw your toys out the pram and go fight fight Lucas Browne for a couple cans of Fosters and some smokes.

More belts, more money plus Joshua has 2 major titles, WBA and IBF, WBO was out there since the 90's but Lewis and Holyfield were called undisputed champions without it. Lewis only briefly, and Parker is barely getting by his so called defenses

I've never bought the explanation one fighter brings more to the table to force more money. Joshua in the ring alone means nothing without an opponent. The fairest way is to give each camp 40 —,40 and winner takes the other 10% otherwise this is greed. Both are world champions and both looked below par in their last outings. This is a world title fight both putting undefeated records on the line so a fair split is only fair. Everyone must remember every time you climb in the ring you are putting your health at risk due to the nature of the sport so let's stop squabbling over which split and reward both fighters evenly as we all know Joshua will have home ground advantage. Purses should be even split and if you want more its down to you to arrange your own sponsorship which is your individual efforts.

Business in boxing never works that way. Never.

Again, Parker does not bring enough to warrant an even split with Joshua. Shoot, he could have earned more money against AJ last year than when he fought Andy Ruiz but passed on it.

I understand what you are saying but it's only like that because it's been allowed to. But saying that I think Parkers team offer of 65 - 35 is fair. What do you think bud?

Joshua A side Parker B side. B side takes whatever purse A side dictates which is fortunately 5x career high pay day. B side beats A side then you can dictate your own terms on rematch.
