Comments Thread For: Kovalev: Loss to Ward in Our Rematch Didn't Break Me Mentally

NEW YORK Sergey Kovalev knows seeing is believing. The former light heavyweight champion must beat Vyacheslav Shabranskyy convincingly to prove to his harshest critics that he has overcome his technical knockout defeat to Andre Ward in their rematch five months ago. The 34-year-old Kovalev is confident, however, that he is prepared mentally and physically to do just that Saturday night when he battles Shabranskyy for the vacant WBO light heavyweight title in The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Well at least Kovalev is moving on from the match and accepted what happened happens despite not liking the circumstance.

Yeah, that's a good thing. There are matches to be made in the LH division.

I hope Kovalev has worked on strengthening his glass BALLS.

          Kovalev's balls = Khan's chin

Weak minded. Kovalev isnt the dog that i thought he was. He is more of a bully type. He got all rattled when a light punching Ward stood up to him.

didnt break him mentally but definitely broke his nuts.

ward fans are like "but but one of the last 5 punches didnt even land on his nuts, totally legit stoppage"
