Hopkins is a a master of self confidence.listen to the way he speaks and handles himself.hes into some deep thinking thoughts and he always gives long and great answers when asked.i think when he retires boxing is getting a huge hole in the middle of the sport.

i agree.. he sometimes stutters but i have no problem with it.. hes one of the smartest fighters

I'd say the reason why everyone has such a change of heart on Bernard is because its his last fight,but more importantly everyone hates Antonio Tarver so much that it actually makes Bernard Hopkins look like the good guy.I have never been a huge fan of his,but I respect for what he has done for the sport and hopefully after his retires he can become an analyst because I think he is a very articulate guy and public speaker

You guys have to be kidding. There was a time when HBO (especially Larry Merchant), Roy Jones Jr., Max Kellerman, Fox Sports, ESPN Boxing, EVERYBODY hated Bernard Hopkins. I'm talking from after the Trinidad fight up until he fought De La Hoya, PEOPLE HATED HIS GUTS. It's funny because I actually liked him back then. I stopped supporting him when he cried about the Taylor decisions and proved he was a dumbass by telling Larry Merchant after the first Taylor fight that he did more damage so he won. Larry's response was: but under these rules, whoever wins the most rounds, wins the fight. Hopkins' response was: not really, Larry.

Hopkins has always done **** like that though from what I can gather. In Hopkins - beyond the glory he's shown giving a speech to some kids in a young offenders institute and apparently he does that regularly to show the kids that you can change your life around (given that he went from being in prison to a world champ)... and apparently he goes back to the prison he was in fairly regularly as well.
