We should ask Runelo, since he got owned by GGG.

If he was so great, why didn't he cut off the ring instead of essentially following Canelo around the whole fight? Meanwhile Canelo was slipping punches the entire fight, showing excellent defensive moves, and being aggressive with combos when appropriate.

I had it either a draw or 1 point win for GGG, can't remember, and this was after watching it close up on a big screen at a theater.

I hope GGG is in fact ready for the rematch, because he sure as he!! wasn't ready for the first match.

Nah. You're dreaming and/or wishful thinking. It was pretty well split between a draw and a slight win for GGG, and some with a Canelo win. Ain't the same GGG, that's the point, friend. And the rematch will be embarrassing for him.

Yep. Canelo's defense and counter punching in the fight were top notch. It will be an eye opener for the GGG fans when Canelo seriously dominates or stops him in the rematch. And then all we'll hear from GGG fans will be silence.
If Canelo stops him I will give him credit. Clearly dominate him. That's open to interpretation. There are guys on the forum that say (me for instance) that it was a clear win for Golovkin. Others say it was a clear win for Canelo. So dominated won't work unless one guy is dropped multiple times. But then we could potentially have the PAC Marquez situation where Marquez was dropped multiple times but rallied. A KO is the only thing that will settle this untill the inivitable third fight. As far as your comment that opinion is evenly split on the fight your mistaken. The press immediately after the fight commented heavily that G won and the draw was wrong.
Canelos defense consisted of not fighting for long periods of the rounds. During those stretches he got hit. The judges look at who was making the fight and who won more minutes of a round and punches landed to determine who wins the round. Those aren't the only factors but they are very important. Canelo essentially gave away rounds. It happened in reverse when he fought Lara. Lara concentrated on his defense at the end of the fight too much and it cost him the fight.

          4: He did indeed.
5: No, he did not. If you get hit by the jab all night, and your opponent doubles your hit count, then you don't defend well.

Counting jabs, yes, Ca$hnelo was hit more. MarGGGarito was hit more by power shots which is worth mentioning.

It's also worth mentioning that some of the "jabs"/"shots" were joke slaps like this:

          No. You have autism.

In Round 11 Canelo landed 13 punches (13 is NOT 4), 10 of which were power shots, compared to 17 for MarGGGarito, of which 9 were power shots. So, again, Ca$hnelo landed MORE effective punches and not pitter patter jabs like posted above ^^

Also, Ca$hnelo won rounds 10-12 on ALL scorecards. So what's confusing?

Doubled what? Total punches (jabs + power)? Compubox stats (and there's a LOT of evidence to suggest Compubox is INACCURATE - in favor of MarGGGarito) have final landed punches as

          Ca$h = 169 and MarGGGarito = 218

          Ca$h power = 114 and MarGGGarito = 110

          Ca$h jab = 55 and MarGGGarito = 118

Again, that's using the already established BIASED Compubox.

This is the age of instant info, friend. IOW, don't try to fly bogus numbers.

                  Canelo: 169 of 505 thrown. 33.5% connects.
                  Golovkin: 218 of 703 thrown. 31% connects.

You were saying? Oh, and 'doesn't matter' won't count as a reply.
