fact is stevenson could have taken the fight at any time for the same exact split. he didn't take the fight therefore he ducked.

the purse bid kovalev asked for, got, and then ducked was way more of a blatant duck...and it was for all the belts in the division..

stevenson going to showtime had nothing to do with kovalev it had to do with stevnson fighting a higher ranked guy for more money and for more belts.

fonfara 2 was off of a one year layoff...fonfara was much bigger than stevenosn and the only guy to ever give stevenson at test at 175

How can you say it was the easiest to make when HBO and Stevenson couldn’t make a deal. And this was before Stevenson brought in Haymon. Stevenson didn’t count on the whole GBP Schaefer fiasco screwing him out of the Hopkins fight.

I want Stevenson to fight Alvarez for the simple fact every time Adonis looks past him to fight someone else he'll complain about not getting a title shot!! How can you say it was the easiest to make when HBO and Stevenson couldn’t make a deal. And this was before Stevenson brought in Haymon. Stevenson didn’t count on the whole GBP Schaefer fiasco screwing him out of the Hopkins fight.

Was it gonna get any easier considering that move made them seperate network fighters? Not a chance so therefore yes. Stevenson was avoiding that fight as he has avoided any real challenge by over pricing himself and notoriously being difficult to negotiate with.
