SO how come when Ward was ''rehabilitated'' and years after 2013 he and Loeffler still say 164 when it was even harder for Ward to make 168?

remember, he wanted Bhop in 2013 at the full 175...

he wanted Froch and Chavez Jr. at 168 in 2015....

    what's wrong with these inconsistencies?

Lemieux was already beat by Alcine and Rubio....not really stepping up..just GBP testing 97K marketability and it failed even though all the buys were from Canadian PPV regional purchases... you know, David's residence..

If you honestly cant see why ggg was willing to fight froch and Chavez at 168 ($$$$$) and not Ward then you are really ******.

oh we know why...we can see why

but what happend to fighting to see who the best was? for legacy and for the fight fans? remember that whole garbage golovkin fans spewed when taunting floyd, cotto and canelo etc?

it was probably a sad day when golovkin fans realized they had to change course and start saying that smart business decisions made sense and that money and drawing power meant something

          Post Monroe Jr. press conference...

ABel Sanchez:''Canelo hasn't made 154 in years....but for Floyd, most definitey...'' (May 2015)

Sept. 2016 - Liam Smith.... what weight was that?

so why didn't Abel say something about Alvarez making 154 for Smith a GREEN LIGHT? Sanchez didnt state any weight from 155-160 since then...but they still wanted Alvarez even when the kid didnt have a strap...

Conclusion: Golovkin wanted no part of Alvarez since GGG has consistently been draining at a 160. When he's not fighting 4 times a year his physique is like any other boxer not getting shine on TV and walking around bigger than what's usually seen.

Of course fighting 4 times a year againwho vs high competition is somehow not understood.

Look at Anthony Yarde now, getting so many fights and staying active like some KO killer. Put him in with a top 5 LHW and see what happens. Guys like Barrera would school Yarde.

speaking of the Cubans, as Curt said, GGG never wanted any part of LARA, the most consistent possible ELITE FIGHTER that has been calling out GGG. GGG is completely protected by HBO since how in the hell could Lara and Team give an offer? Look at how hard K2 plays hardball with GBP with their 97K and easily collected straps...

            eh never mind lara

golovkin fans easily squashed the notion golovkin had to fight him by stating "omg lara? are you serious? golovkin kills lara"......enough said...no need then

Lara was a dangerous fight...surely Oscar wouldn't have advised that but LARA went and PUNKED Nelo on the spot during the press conference...what else could Alvarez do? Plus since they fought Angulo...who knows maybe Showtime orchestrated all that? Would Oscar agree to that plot for profit gain?

Ironically, you don't even get the point. This thread is for upper echelon critical thinking. THe context is 2013. Where was Alvarez fighting at 2013?

You might want to revise your Golovkin history and his verbatim starting at 2013 regarding Ward in the posted above...

Let me know when you catch up and acknowledge that. Because Alvarez started at 140... you're still ignoring the basics of this thread and ''154-168 ez fomi''
Dude Alvarez had to fight Lara after the Mayweather loss otherwise his career would have gone downhill. It wasn't out of bravery but out of neccessity. A big loss like that needs to substituted with a big win, of course most people think he lost that fight and he still refuses to rematch Lara.

He ducked the Charlos, the Andrades, etc etc after he almost lost to Lara, and he ducked a Lara rematch too coz he knew what would happen if he fought them.

Golovkin is a cowardly bum, he and Alvarez are no better, well I guess Alvarez is better than him, he has a better resume and better skills in my opinion, but that don't mean I'm just gonna sit here and swallow piss even when I know it's piss. A spade is a spade.

Golovkin actually still hasn't stepped up. That's the mistake yawl made in this thread. Canelo was not considered dangerous for him, in fact he was the favorite. Jacobs was a chinny guy who he has supposed to dominate and knockout but history was revised after he almost lost and everyone pretending Jacobs is some monster.

Andrade and Charlo are at 160 now, let's see if he fights one of them. I bet you he won't. Although to be fair, Andrade is quite the duck himself, wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being the one ducking Golovkin. He talks big but always pulls out when fights are about to be made.

In truth, in as much as I have pointed out the flaws in Canelo's attitude, there is one thing I can credit him for. When he is cornered, he stops running away and fights viciously.

There are two kinds of cowards. Those who run, and cower when they are cornered, and those who run, but fight like a monster to force their way out when they are cornered. Canelo is the latter.

He aint calling out the dangerous guys and he always tryna avoid fighting them, but when they put him in that position where he has no choice, he stops running and fights like a man. I would prefer him to just fight from the onset, but hey, no one is perfect.

If I was ggg I would've done the same thing too. Ward already managed to get the dawson fight at 168 why should he have it all his own way. It was his turn to make concessions.

more importantly, why do posters continue to bring up Alvarez as some salvation when the initial thread post is all about Golovkin's verbatim and confidence in weight AND WARD!

I made a thread the other day to see what GGG fans thought his arch nemesis to be..

How did Golovkin go from being the x-factor to HOPEFULLY beat Ward with Kellerman and industry trying to make this fight for years...

to then Alvarez collecting Golovkin's debt with the step aside fees Lil'g paid Cotto or that GGG never fought Ward when LilG wanted Ward at 164 in the video posted above.

Either Lil'G has a new minion of dumb fans and thats just the nature of puss-e, or these PAC bandwagoners never give up because theyre still in denial about the Floyd loss... how is it a coicidence that many PAc fanboys on this site all hurdled to Golovkin after Pac lost?

stopped reading here.... dude just stop making shıt up bruh..

had to fight? What straps were on the line for Nelo vs Lara or the Angulo and Kirkland bouts?

if Alvarez's destiny was to continue to 160 regardless, what's wrong with Nelo choosing hard hitters like Angulo or Kirkland as preparation? Alvarez is at least a humble boxer to say that he would need 1-2 years to go to 160. He said that in Q4 2015 before the Cotto bout.

He has kept every word clean, how can you hate on that?

Because the reality is Lil'g fans need an excuse for Golovkin DUCKING WARD so they bring up the WBC vacation with Loeffler making it known publicly ''if the deals right..''

Unlike Santa Cruz or Frampton completely wanting NO PART of Rigo... there's ways to not make fights... K2 with 97K dictating splits?

Why did Golovkin agree to Cotto's step asides for Geale or Alvarez...

                    Golovkin 101?
                    Golovkin 201 Advanced?
